That was absolutely funny I have to laugh at that company and see if they have a return policy after a couple of days if it's 30 days you have to wait so nobody claims it it's yours like I said in my previous Story down below when I was younger it happened to me not that much but back then $300 was a lot for a 7th grader only 11 years old
My cousin once found a $50 bill in the parking lot when we were going to Dollar Tree. The most I've ever seen someone find. The most I've found was enough change at the high school football game to buy a chilli dog.
@Time is Zero If a situation like that occures and you keep that much amount of money, don't bring up that pikachu face when you'll face the consequences for keeping and spending the money which doesn't belong to you in the first place
"This world is a jungle. Bunch of mammals running around trying to snatch each other's money everywhere, even the bank where I hide my money. They try to steal my money "🤣😂😂😂😂
They had nearly lost 42,000!! And they thank her by giving her an FY, they should have given her at least 10,000 as thanks and be happy to not have lost them all!
I used to work at a homeless shelter. One day a guy who lived there found an envelope with several thousand Euros laying on the street. He didn’t keep it, he went to the next police station to turn it in, the owner was identified, gave a very generous portion of that money to him as a finder‘s fee, that story was on the news in my country, and about two weeks later he had a steady job and an apartment, because people loved his integrity. That’s what I call Karma!
I'm sure Goodwill kept the money (hence the anonymous owner) and still only gave her 1000...With that amount of money, it's basically like giving her a dollar and telling her to keep quiet or loose a job.
@@ElMasChingon24 Whats so hard to understand? most people that agree would not return the money themselves , people always say that others dont do enough good things but they themselves do jack shit
I found $50 on the sidewalk once, I posted it on a local lost and found facebook group saying "I found money at the corner of X and Y street if you have lost money recently in this area please describe the bills you lost and I will return it to you, If I don't hear anything within 48 hours I'm going to take my wife out to dinner with the money. No one came forward so I took my wife out for dinner.
Hard to say what to do here. 1. Turn it into the police if they can't find anything out about you gets back after 30 maybe. 2. Just keep the money and not say a word about it to anyone. 3. Here's what I would do keep the money sit on it for 6mths to a year if no one came back from it then it's mine
The thing is that if you tell someone about the 42K they're gonna want it. If you send it to the police station they'd be like "yeah, we'll need this." And then keep it for themselves. You need to really NOT want the money in order to gain the confidence to attempt to return it to the original owner.
Her manager probably is the "anonymous owner." I would of kept that money, held on to it and see if anyone calls in and asks about it. If they do I would return it, if not it's MINE. Like the manager said in the beginning, it's really hard to trace back to the donators, cash on it's own without a picture id or credit card is pretty much free money.
Good will was literally the first real job I ever had when I was teenager I used to sort thru stuff as well , if I find 42k I’m not returning a damn thing .. then papers goin in the trash pile an that money goin in my locker until I clock out 😂
not sure what country hes from but probably the same as the guys who interviewed that lesbian and asked her ... why are you gay? ...and then had the priest bring out bananas and cucumbers...lol
She just admitted she wanted to keep the money she was simply afraid to keep it. AND since the donor wants to remain anonymous she has no way to thank them or even find out if they didn't donate the entire thing to her BUT the manager kept 41,000 and gave her 1,000. That's probably what she was thinking as she counted it. LOL bless her heart and her 6 yr old little daughters heart too. 😁💝👍GOOD people make GOOD places. :)))
I was in a Sam's Club doing my business, when I finished as I pull up my pants I see a stack of money on the floor next to me that the guy next to me dropped without knowing. Trust me I wanted to keep it but I returned it to him. It's easy to do the wrong thing a lot of the time but hard to do the right thing almost all the time.
But the person who dropped the money was right there, so it was only fair to give it back and not look like a jerk...Random stacks of cash and no owner in sight? I bet the reason the "owner" of the cash (once they supposedly traced money) was Goodwill and her job only rewarded her 1000 to keep her mouth shut. 🤣🤣🤣
She wouldn't even paid to work there and could've probably really benefitted from this like a massive boost in life, we all mightn't do as she did but let's just admire the fact that she is on the opposite end of the spectrum to a sellout.
In the states a lot of people donate things from a loved one that passed- and that very well could be why they didn’t know that was in there. She did the right thing. Though I wish they would have shared more of it with her for doing that, we may never know what situation the donator was in and how much they may have needed it. It was kind of them to at least share some of it with her as a thank you
Bahahaha riight. She literally got a gift from the Universe...and if you doubt that you deserve it then the Universe won't do things like that for you anymore... poor lady 😂
I once found a few hundred dollars in a wallet in a parking lot. I thought I'll keep it but felt guilty. It just felt wrong and that gave me anxiety all day long, so I went to the guy's house and returned it. It was fortunate for him that his license was in the wallet.
That's a different thing though because it was a name that was attached to that wallet that had the money in it but if it was a random wallet with no identity or anything in it but money was found that I'd say keep that.
Years ago I found a $100 bill in a supermarket. I returned it to the supermarket checkout manager in case someone came back to claim it, as I felt it was the right thing to do. In hindsight the supermarket staff probably just pocketed it. They didn't even take my name in case no-one claimed it, so I could have it back in that case.
I love your videos, and your reactions, but in this case, you are absolutely wrong! Taking something that doesn't belong to you is stealing. That money did not belong to her. She did the right thing, and God bless her. Your soul, integrity, and self worth cannot be bought. What a wonderful young lady. We could all learn from her.
I mean, it was wrapped up in a sweater that was given to the store, so technically, since the money was giving to the store, it belongs to the person who receives it
Whoever got their money back should be beyond grateful, so giving her 1000 reward for returning 42,000 is incredibly tight. The anonymous person should be ashamed of themselves
@@yan7789 a grand barely gets a single low income 1 person american household thru 2 weeks these days. And YES, we do know the financial status of "anonymous" - obviously they're doing *pretty goddamned well* for themselves if they can afford to misplace and accidentally give away $42k. Jesus, some people are just monumental dimwits.
@Zek Kiel I don't misplace a $1 bill. Anyone who can misplace and accidentally donate $42k is obviously wealthy. More importantly, look at how butthurt you are over a youtube comment made by a total stranger. I'm making a very well informed hypothesis, not assumptions out of nothing. If you want to see someone "making something out of nothing", just take a look in the mirror at the idiot having a conniption fit over something a stranger posted on the comments of an irrelevant-ass youtube video. Are you not aware we're in the midst of a human caused mass extinction of such epic proportions that something similar has only occured 5 times in the entire history of billions of years on life on planet earth? Like seriously, dude... hundreds of thousands of species will go extinct over the next hundred years, there's a huge continent made out of plastic floating in the pacific, our coral reefs are literally dying and the polar ice caps are melting changing the ecosystems of over 70% of the planet as a result of global climate change that's killing 100% of the planet... shit man, you'd think you could find more worthwhile things to be upset over! Get a clue, get a girlfriend, get a hobby, get a social life, get some therapy... do whatever you gotta do. But lastly and most importantly, leave me the fuck alone. 💖
Amazing birthday party? No ma'am, buy her a cake, take her to a park with a few friends and invest/save the rest and you'll still have at least $900 left.
I learned a long time ago people like her are delusional and they end up so damaged and broken that they began to hate society. She needs to break this cycle and be more focus on her own happiness. If she does that her daughter will be ten times more happier then she is now. A happy mother equal a happy child.
Ah goodwill, the company that underpays their employees, REALLY underpays their disabled employees while giving their CEO big bonuses. The employees are way better than the people that they work for. (6:06)"you really are living our values" Sir if she was living your values she would have kept all that cash lol.
I laughed so hard when he said that, i spit and then choked on the spit that didn't fly out of my mouth... After I gained composure, I yelled "what values are you talking about?! " then realized it's past midnight and I'm sitting outside... 🤦🏻♀️ that guys energy is screaming "I'm lying this is all an act. " I wonder how much was really left for her that he kept for himself. Goodwill is a joke. 🕉 🙏🏼नमस्ते🙏🏼 (ηαмαѕтє)
@@thatgirlfromdabronx9198Technically, it would be stealing as it was not her money, but it would be considered abandoned as long as she followed the proper processes.
@@followmeleadtheway Exactly! I went there. And never even make use of what I studied because people are selfish and expect you to have so many years experience before even starting. So I just took over the family business and realized I wasted so much money on crap and time as well. I've learned alot though. And would definitely not encourage my kids to do so. Be your own boss. Use your mind. Make your own money rather than working for someone and undergoing memorization in university. Lack of sleep. If you're not disciplined you'd might even make it past the first year due to Lust, alcohol, drugs etc... And well... Yeahhh just don't go to college.
@@jameelahmad9305 It depends what are your goals. If you want to be an Aeronautical Engineer then you have to have a degree to work in the field. Without degree, no company is gonna hire you because they can't test your credibility. Plus there are a lot of practical involvement for which you might not have an equipment to work with. University can provide you propeller and you can have hands-on experience. In this scenario, University turn out to be great :) If money is your only goal, then university might not be the best option after all look at politicians ;)
"Most of the people watching this are broke" That hit me so hard in the feels....so true ,man, so true T.T And yes, I would gladly keep the 42k $, tyvm
MaximBady: Keep the money, people who decide to return the money are too good for this planet Also MaximBady: Returns someone’s wallet with gold jewelry in it a few years ago
If it was a wallet with the persons identity card,I would return it..If it was envelopes filled with cash without any way of me knowing the identity,I would keep it
Well that amount of money in envelopes in a sweater is definately a bit sketchy. She definately did the right thing morally. From another standpoint exposure for law enforcement to track the owner (or not owner) of the money. Who in their right mind would carry that amount of money into a clothes store as their first priority?
I would return it... I considered lost property a lost property NOT mine.. My phone n wallet got returned to me from different states. Coz I don't take a penny lost n add to my money
She already experienced karma the $42K was probably some criminals money and because of karma they lost it and she just returned it to them so it's as if the karma never happened >.
@@Tee-Dot-Tv She dumb? Imagen keeping the 42k and like 1 year later the criminal comes to your house and ask, wheres my money, and you be like eh....eh...eh, and hes like if you dont give it back in 1 day, you and your family tree will be no more. Oh not so smart now he?
@@amosamwig8394 are you really going to stay in the same house, no fuck it, the same country? Idk about you but I wouldn't! I would fly to another country, then drive to another so my trial is lost. I'd set up a business, and be happy. That's the thing with Americans in general, they think that they're stuck where they live. I've got to be honest, even with $10,000 I'm out of here!
42,000 just seems a little odd number to me!! I think there was more than that, and she just gave them 42,000 of what she found!! I know I wouldn't have gave it all back!! They'd be lucky if I gave any of it back!! Lol
This is so sad us low wage workers won't even keep money we find. We are trained to give it to those who already have plenty. And sometimes they throw us some crumbs that we lap up greatfully. Like trained dogs. No wonder the 1% look at us as less than human.
I guess I'm not from this planet. I found $1,000. and gave it back to it's rightful owner once. I just knew how devastating it would be for me to lose that much and I couldn't keep it. 🤷🏼♀️
starts to cry my tought: she cries because she got only 1000 instead of 42.000 and sees what she did. but she is more happy to get 1000 from hand to hand than 42.000 from the envelop. weird woman
not really that strange. it's like taking a free cupcake sample at a store or having someone bake you a batch of cupcakes for you on your birthday. something made or given just for _you_ is more personal and meaningful.
Finally a smart comment. Its funny we often speak about people in movies making dumb decisions, but people here in the comments arent that smart either, keeping the money while you don't even know who it belongs too. Their naivety will get them in trouble and they will eventually be killed by it. smh
I don't know why she would tell anybody she found the money in the first place and second off if I was doing that found the money I wouldn't tell anybody.
3:50 a blessing that finds you where you are. Money or not a blessing that finds you is a very rare occasion. As much as I would like to have enough faith to do nothing and blessings will fall on my lap, that's not how it works. (That kind of blessing is very rare) Get up, continue your journey and your blessings will meet you as you go.
Yes its stealing if you dont return or attempt to find the owner or not reporting the matter to the police ...you never heard of the term theft by finding? its a proper criminal offence in the UK where you live and in the USA where she lives
