My youngest loves the Beatles, soft Rock, Classical and POP. I don't know where she gets that from. She do not like R&B, but loves Gospel music. She's different and I love it!!! My children do not listen to Sexy, Cardi, Meg etc. They just not into that. Not even SZA or the new R&B girls. Music is just so messed up. Sexy Red, Yung Miami, et al, are all ACTING out their childhood traumas. Here are the problems when poverty and trauma intersects, a lot of people are willing to sell their souls AND their community, for the appearance of being rich. Back to Sexy Red, I think waiting to talk to teenage girls about her is doing a disservice to all Black girls. Start at kindergarten and work your way to high schoolers because children are heavily INFLUENCED by their peers at school, so just because mama do not allow this music at home, their friend’s or their friend’s parents may listen to it, etc.

Not gonna lie I traditionally watched the bad girls club. Loved Jerry Springer. Even Maury Povich, when the baby mamas was lying. I remember when Maury Povich had those contest for people to vote and see who was a man or a woman 😂
