Every woman in my family has worked all their life. My moms a doctor ,so am i , my sister is a lawyer, my aunts are teachers, bank managers etc, my MIL teacher and my SIL teacher too. Everyone in my friend circle works, I think people who dont know much about islam need to befriend more muslim people and get to know how "normal" we are.

@J S Assalamu alaykum, the marriage in Islam has conditions. 1) consent of both parties. 2) " Mahr" a gift from the groom to his bride. 3) Witnesses- 2 male or female. 4) The marriage should be publicized, it should never be kept secret as it leads to suspicion and troubles within the community. So if a man and a woman wants to be married, they both have to be in agreement in order for it to be halal. In terms of age, Islam permits marriage as long as both has already reached puberty. As long as they do not do what Allah has forbidden, and do what Allah has ordered, the marriage is halal.
