Idk maybe I'm tripping... But if I lived in a neighborhood where crime is rampant and I hear gunshots often, the absolute last thing I'd do is stand outside in the open with a large group of friends socializing like normal people. I get not being scared and I also understand life has to be lived... But at some point your survival instinct should kick in and common sense should tell you to move with purpose in the hood until you can afford to get tf outta there, then you can worry about socializing in front of your crib and even host cookouts without the threat of random shootouts. But I could be wrong 🤷‍♂️ I just don't believe that decent people who find themselves in these unfortunate war zones should be hanging outside or even letting their kids play outside like it's a normal neighborhood.

Stop disciplining officers for procedure violations and focus on criminal violations. Stop looking at them under a microscope and give them discretion. Allow foot and vehicle chases. Lessen penalties for procedure violations that dont break any laws.

Gun violence in Chicago is odd. They have the 2nd largest police department - which means it is larger than LAPD, with a lot less land and about 1.3M less people! So how come L.A. is a safer city?
