It seems more like OCD than allergies... I’m sad for her, it’s really hard to live. Hopefully she realizes it and can get help.

There's a term for her that if she was in my life I'd use. I'd call her "My ex."

it seems as though she may have obsessive compulsive disorder. i also struggle with this disorder but my symptoms are different. i compulsively check things, have irrational thoughts and fears. it's a very real disorder and i honestly feel terrible for this woman. it's hard to cope with and it's especially hard to put your spouse or loved ones through. i hope she gets the help she deserves.

She wears and uses an awful lot of chemical products to claim that she is allergic to almost everything... I can’t even wear all that kind of stuff and I don’t claim to be allergic to things.

She wont use the house air and uses a heater instead??? Like dude. Hes enabling this woman so bad. He let it slide for too long and before he knew it she had all this power she wasnt giving up.

As a person who has severe allergies and has been into anaphylactic shock, let me be the representative of us all to say that she is grossly over exaggerating what we have to go through every day. I have to carry around three epi pens (because in my last allergic reaction I had to use two epi pens), check the food I eat to make sure it doesn’t have any allergens in it and sometimes and sanitise my hands before I touch my face. That’s it. She give people with allergies a bad name it’s so infuriating to watch this, when I suffered from ptsd for a year after I had my last reaction and I didn’t act like this and she doesn’t even have severe allergies. Unbelievable

Y’all in the comments: later in the episode it’s revealed that her house is basically saturated in mold spores, and it’s creating ‘allergic’ reactions. She didn’t know about it though which is why she goes to such great lengths to avoid discomfort. Realistically, it doesn’t matter if she does these things or not; she’ll continue having this issue until her house is thoroughly cleaned of all the mold.

Some of the comments are rude but understandable. Make sure you guys watch the episode where dr phil talks about why shes acting this bizzare. Shes neurologically affected by spore exposure with a mixture of medications.

I think they found that she had dangerous molds growing in her house, and they had caused her brain to malfunction. She believed that all this was true, and breathing in these molds for so long damaged her thinking abilities. Her husband was at work all day, so he wasn't affected!

so hairspray, makeup, fillers, laundry detergent and her clothes are all ok? he has to take off his sweater to enter her bedroom?? what??

I couldn’t spend 5 minutes with this insanity let alone a full day. Her family must feel completely undone.

At the end of this episode they talk about how mould and different stuff in the house were actually affecting her. But the meds for mental health and other stuff she was taking to help were actually making her worse and might be causing some of the ocd and germaphobia type symptoms. But hey if they go to that before the last 5 minutes he’d wouldn’t have a show right?

She may or may not have allergies but she almost definitely has severe OCD and anxiety disorder. I feel very sad for her. She probably truly believes that she's experiencing these problems but it's just in her mind.

I'm confused. If she is allergic to like everything. Where is the reactions from the allergens? She isn't sneezing, breaking our in hives...nothing! My eyes water and burn when I dealt with an allergy. So...I'm smelling some bs here.

Sad but telling how many people in the comments think she’s being dramatic or snobbish. This woman clearly has OCD. The symptoms are real for her and she needs medication and intensive treatment, not to be dumped and shamed on the internet. I feel for her, as I’ve suffered with ODC and can absolutely relate to her fears and strange behaviors. It is treatable! She’ll be so much happier with the right medication and therapy.

To be blunt, all this really is.. a rich guy marries a woman that's an absolute control freak & she has somehow passed this off as a medical condition & then uses it as an excuse to always get her way. I don't think she's lying about being germaphobic i just think she's taken it the extreme so she can 100% dictate what happens all around her. She should be ashamed of herself

I completely understand what people are critizing her for, but she does have some validity here. I'm not severly allergic to anything myself, but I do literally suffer from pollen allergies during summer time, breathing is extremely difficult and I need a lot of medications for that to just barely be able to be outside - or even inside during summer. I don't go into anaphylaxis which sounds just horrifying to me. I know what it feels like having my throat closing up, not to the point where it's anaphylaxis, but even for me it's really scary when I feel like I can't breathe.. so I can at least sort of imagine what anaphylaxis would feel like. I also suffer from several mental illnesses, like heavy ptsd, anxiety disorder and panic attacks, and depression on and off (not due to seasonal change). I absolutely *HATE* when people are acting like this woman who exaggerates (my 1st language is Norwegian so I'm sorry if some words gets butchered) because it puts us that actually really struggle with one thing or another. I would still like to say in her little defense that she's been heavily exposed to toxins from her home, they apparantly found many spores of different allergens in her home - which alone can cause unusual behaviour. She's on medications as well, so that combo isn't exactly working in her favor. This was talked about in another clip from this, I don't have the link but it shouldn't be too hard to find. So at least for her, she has some validity with this. I believe her behaviour has been enabled too much and that the couple should have fixed whatever problems they have with their house a long time ago instead of accomidating her (mostly) irrational or overexagerrated behaviour. Not trying to defend her too much, but there's two sides of every coin and two sides to every story. Emphathy and compassion is extremely important. Not saying we should baby or enable people at all, we should just try to understand each other's points if views as much as possible. Not to excuse someone's irrational behaviour, but to understand. When people disagree with ourselves, we also would like for "the other side" to try ti understand their point of view and how they think to better understand what drives people's bad behaviour so that it's easier to prevent people from completely losing their minds. We can't help people if we don't understand how others think. You know what I mean? This became a long "rant", sorry about that.

It turned out that her house had very high levels of toxic moulds that she was being poisoned by. These moulds can cause psychological problems when constantly inhaled.

I used to have severe allergies and this woman is insane and is creating a bad rep for everyone who is actually suffering.

She may have bad allergies but to me this just looks like severe OCD can’t do certain things constantly felling the worse.

If she had a job she’d be busy working instead of making everyone else’s life harder. That’s about to be her ex husband.

I have had real allergies to almost everything. I see my Doctors and I am tested as needed. I carry my two Epi pens with me and I take medication as prescribed. I get four allergy shots per week. I live my life, I don't allow my allergies to to take over my life. I can't imagine putting my cloths in my dishwasher or any of the steps Debbie goes through. I enjoy my life to the fullest and travel all if the time.

I am allergic to formaldehyde and fragrances from cleaning houses for 4 decades. Unfortunately, almost all man made products are toxic. It's terrible. The government can't really care about our health too much. Fema trailers the worst! I have to totally socially distance. It's getting to me. The isolation. Allergic to clothes, stores, hospitals. Auto immune problem. Full blown is anaphylaxis shock. Death.
