Angela Tramonte flew into Phoenix from Boston to meet up with a man she had been talking to online for a few months. After feeling ill on a hike on Camelback Mountain she turned around and he continued on.
She was found dead hours later. Now, her family and friends are expressing concern that he didn't help to protect his guest from the brutal desert heat.
12 News has confirmed that the man is a Phoenix police officer. 12 News is not naming him because he's not facing any criminal charges and investigators don't consider Angela's death supsicious.

BLM...Boston Lives Matter!!!! What a shame...he certainly was NOT a Gentleman! I wondered that too, if she claimed she wasn't feeling well..escort/help her back to safety, get her to a cool place & hydrated...Simple! hmm...something isn't right. May she rest in peace+++! How exactly was he supposed to stop her? The news story would be about him being arrested for that. Was he supposed to just follow her around? Is she not an adult? There's more to this story. We were both extremely fit but from New England. We knew it was better to stick together. That is just bizarre that the local guy would not walk back to the trailhead with her to ensure her safety. Then you have dinner with them, and so forth. Also--who even goes hiking in frigging Phoenix in July?! Who would even want to? Rest assured there is WAY more to this story than we are hearing right now. I met my husband--an ex-police officer--online in 2002. We posted in a public forum and met a few months later at a public meet-up with mutual friends. Began dating and now we've been together for 18 years. These stories do not need to end badly.

Water Bug, you are entotled to your opinion. However, your attacks on the deceased appear excessive and quite insensitive. The young lady made a huge mistake by going to Phoenix to meet up with a stranger. When she started the walk she may have intuit that she wasn't safe with her date and chose to return to the vehicle. Some men are are real dangerous to women. To me, the cop's story does not make sense and he needs to be investigated. Perhaps she died on a federal park and the Feds get to do the investigation. The young lady needs justice if her death was caused by unnatural reasons.

Suppose when she became too ill there from the heat to hike further, he then left her there alone in the desert for the hot sun to finish her off. My guess is the date was not going how she wanted and got pissed off and went off on her own. He knew the trail, the climate, why wouldn't she stay with him. If she was pissed off and screaming "stay away from me" then he knows he'd better comply or face jail. Dates do go sideways like that.
