26.3% over budget is considerably more than "slightly" over budget. Nevertheless, I am shocked that the consultant informed the bride - prior to trying it on - that the dress was over budget.

sadly even gok has started asking people to stretch their budget, even people with healthy budgets like 2500. i guess the store was losing too much money when he was asking the owner to make dresses affordable for the brides.

I know right? I said that to my hubby (even though he doesn't care, he understood how odd it seemed), considering how far they came to find her dress, and the venue! I'm so glad that she found a perfect pricess dress for her frame, fit her perfectly, and her little "I'm going to need a tissue", even made me teary!

I don’t know what’s the problem, just because she is going to marry in Dubai she needs to spend millions in a dress? The venue could be expensive enough for her to spend a decent amount in her dress. Maybe strange is just your illusion about a wedding budget.

if it was my daughter, for a dress like that and that little difference, i would offer to make up the difference so she could get it. it's not like some of the brides that come in with a 2000 budget and they put her in a 4000 dress!

I have learned from these videos that you tell them your budget is less than what you actually can pay... keep the wiggle room in the budget private, thus you don't go over your actual budget.

Having a budget doesn't mean she cannot afford it, it just means you would prefer not to spend above a certain amount. She is just being financially responsible!!!! Maybe her fiance is sponsoring the Dubai trip and she has to be responsible for the dress.
