Man, you will just make excuse after excuse to just keep denying anything but what you believe is reality. Seek psychological help. This first literally says LONG AGO/In the past, God spoke to us through the prophets but today he speaks to us through his Son! How much more clearer could it be??? God hasn't spoken audibly to anyone except to the prophets of old (Old test.) And through his Son (new testament)...he doesn't speak to us audibly, he speaks to us through his Word. If you want to hear God speak to you out loud, Read your Bible out loud. Also read 2 Tim. 3:16-17...All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly equipped for ALL good works. We do not need God to speak to us audibly. Scripture is enough to equip us and make us complete. We do not need extra revelation. In fact Christ warned them revelation that anyone who adds to the gospel or to the word of God shall be judged harshly and accursed. The foundation has already been laid. Does not need laid again. @@thecyberpirate4055 I did need help. I needed spiritual mentorship which no one would give and I literally learned everything I did by faith by reading the bible and listening to the spirit. It took me a long time to hear the Holy Spirit and not the other demonic voices mimicking the voice of God. I also needed help from narcissistic abuse, which I received and am still receiving. God isn't finished with me yet but praise God I'm not that woman I was 7 years ago.

I do know that in this way I wasn't honoring my parents. I was very much on the defensive because my mother had done these kinds of things my whole life. I had been no contact with her for almost a year before this and she pretended that she was better and like a narcissistic abuse victim I went back and she did this to me again. I was traumatized by all of this and it was PTSD from her abuse all over again but now in a place I couldn't leave or at least didn't know I could leave. I was very insecure at this point in my life but have since then learned that God wants us to honor our parents even when they are not honorable. I have done my best to honor my parents and I was truly blessed because I chose to do what God told me to do with my father and he and I developed a relationship I cherish. I miss him a lot even though he participated in this, but he told me that the day before he went out there he was crying and didn't want to go. My mother can be very persuasive and if you've ever dealt with a narcissist telling them no brings out the monster, which is why most people just tolerate people like this. I will say that because my mother couldn't honor me but demanded I honor her, I had no choice but to remove myself from her life and withdraw my children from seeing her. We haven't seen each other in a year except for two court dates where I was granted a restraining order against her that expired this past December. She has however respected me enough to stay away without the restraining order and I can say that I am taking the judge's advice to live my life as though she doesn't exist to me anymore. I can honestly say that when the news comes of her passing I will not be sad, though I have forgiven her, but I will not attend her funeral or any other memorial. She's already dead to me and I've mourned her long enough. As for my father, I'm still holding out and praying for him to come back but I know it won't be unless she's gone, because she won't let him.

You are absolutely right. This is a concept I didn't understand but am learning more and more. I will say that letting go of bitterness and forgiving those who have done me wrong has been a hard road. I won't say I haven't responded defensively, as is apparent in this dramatic episode, or even retaliated for the wrong done to me, but I think forgiveness is the hardest thing for people to learn, especially when their whole life they've been emotionally abused and bullied. As I've sought Jesus and his commandments more and more, sought emotional healing and counseling, I have been learning to repay evil with good, blessings for cursings, and heaping up coals on the heads of my enemies by kindness. It isn't always easy but it has fared well and I have peace knowing Jesus now has the power to fight my enemies because I am obedient to what he has told me to do.

But to return good for evilis proof positive of the Indwelling Holy Spirit. No one is perfect, we all get peeved, angry frustrated and upset. I forgot I wanted to add & regardless of feelings on the church (as we know much evil has crept in & satan seeks to destroy it) Apostolic Authority historically was handed down by the apostles through the Catholic Church & through their laying on of hands. Jesus did not give all the disciples Apostolic Authority. That’s why she is unable to bring animals back from the dead. Many get this wrong unfortunately & it can be extremely dangerous when people try to command & speak directly to demons especially when not in a state of grace. Our power is “through” Jesus. Pray directly to him. There is much power & authority in that. But also know if Jesus wants to perform a miracle through us, he will. If he wants to come to us directly & give us Authority, he will.

All religion is both right and wrong at the same time. No system of belief has all the answers. Is there a force in the universe we all recognize as God, yes. Is that force a man who got bored and lonely and therefor created a bunch of other beings into existence then came up with females to keep us company, absolutely not. The fact of the matter is that the answer is beyond our capacity to understand. I believe in something greater than ourselves but I don't think our narrow minds could even begin to understand what that is. If you were honest with yourself and actually studied all religion then you would see that the judeo-christian religion is just an amalgamation of past religions mixed with cultural beliefs. I used to be hard-core Christian, I even considered seminary to become a priest but the more I studied the more I realized that Christianity doesn't have the answers I sought.
