I love the American athletes and the Jamaican athletes I am Jamaican and I love them both they are all black one people we are Africans I support the athletes great run one love!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Full credit for the American 4th leg to hold so strong with great form. One criticism: You left the inside lane open for your opponent!! Never do that!!
The black/blond youngUSA relay athlete lady's name is Kiana Horton. She ran for Baylor, University in Texas, USA. She has always given the relay team a great effort when she runs. :
@DFS54 another option I'd love for the 4x100 would be timed slots. Like heat 1, go. Then every country is reseaded along the lanes with leaders in th middle. Go round 2. Etc. So then it gets to the 4th person and it all comes down to that anchor. Can #2 or #3 or #8 make up the game to the leading nation? Ready, set, go! Lol I know this is unrealistic. I guess it's more of a praise to track and field in general. Racing is awesome :)) so the 4x100 is a little chaotic, but many absolutely love it. And I guess I'm still on of those. I just love the 4x400 even more :))
This was what they usually do to Merlene Ottey. We Jamaican has been there before. God bless you all . Ms McPherson hold your head, and please go and review Ms Otteys races and learn .
That 4th leg for USA did terrible leaving that huge gap on the inside. She should have been as close to the inside as possible. Dont leave room for opponents to come thru and swipe the gold. Smh. Almost
Also opened up the inside lane coming off the corner. Lack of focus. She could have saved herself about 1-2m if she focused more on where she was in the lane. She needs to view her videos and go over the mistakes.
Yes i agree , what a terrible thing to say, Schizophrenia which my brother has, one of the main symptoms is psychosis, what has this got to do with running? so offensive.
@@kevinsimmons5086 psychopathy is again different, the inability to have empathy has nothing to do with schizophrenics, and schizophrenics have nothing to do with athletics. so offensive and ignorant.
Big congrats to my ladies from the USA. The Jamaicans fought valiantly but came up just short but congrats to them as well. I hope the American anchor leg learns to run to the inside the next time........she ran about 2 meters farther than she had to.
I’m surprised that Baumgart ran the anchor leg for Poland. If it was Swety-Ersitiç it might have been a different outcome. Floria Guei is a beast on anchor leg!!!!! Kudos to the USA, JA and France!
At that time Justyna Święty had a slight injury. The Polish coach wanted to spare her and at the Athletics World Cup in London she started only in the 400 meters. That is why Iga Baumgart had to run the anchor leg. Świety has a very good finish so she is really hard to replace.
@@alialibaba1886 yes very true! Justyna is an amazing anchor leg! I didn't realize she was injured. That makes total sense now. If she was well it would be a no brainer for her to run anchor leg.
@@noelburton8730 Almost no one knew about Święty’s problems at the time. It was kept in secret.🙂 The coach gave Justyna some rest and it was the right decision - the 2018 European Athletics Championships were more important than the Athletics World Cup. The Polish team had a bad experience from 2017. Justyna Święty was in great shape, but she twisted her ankle a couple of weeks before the IAAF World Championships in London. But eventually the Polish coach gave Justyna a chance - she ran the anchor leg for Poland with with an unhealed injury and with the bandage on her leg. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CAOmWs09FXU.htmlm10s
@@alialibaba1886 Stop with the bullshit. Let me tell you something, I've ran track. And here is the thing about track. YOU NEVER RUN WITH AN INJURY. Why? Because it impedes the healing process for one, and two, obviously you risk greater injury. People have no idea how much pressure/force that runners --- especially sprinters apply on the ground and how that energy is rebounded back to their legs. She was going up against the best runners in the world at that time, and even at her best, Poland ;likely still would not have won, so what since would it make to have her run while injured?
Fantastic training and coaching from USA to extend chest at end, NOT head! Horrendous coaching by the USA for leaving the gap open to the inside! Overall a fantastic race from all the teams.
Good race, but let's give the Jamaican girls some respect, considering that Jamaica is approximately the size of one U.S state(Connecticut). The U.S has far more athletes to choose from across the 50 states, in comparison to JA, the tiny country!
Who still in 2019 agrees with my critical observation that both of these ladies the Jamaican and American athletes foto finish was identical, a perfect tie and both deserved first position. Hence a gold medal should have been awarded to both Jamaican and American 4×400 mtr relay teams . 👍😉👌
These were B and C team runners. Courtney Okolo was the only A teamer, and she was having a very inconsistent year. Phyllis Francis, Shakima Whimbly, Shamier Little, Ashley Spencer to name a few, were all absent.
Jamaica won that race they were far behind from the start n basically tied with US at the end Superb running no body does it better🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Connie B for individual but she also does relay, also for instance you don’t make your individual. Wouldn’t you want to have a relay to still compete in?
All of you people in the comment section need to chill with the criticism. I mean really they are out there working their behinds of and we are behind of a computer screen eating a bag of chips consistently judging them. Really? I would honestly love to see any of you go out there and run and practice how the have to run and practice. Smh at all of you. Good run U.S.A , good run Jamaica. Lots of love to both❤️❤️
Excellent race! What’s not to love? Shouts out the entire field. Supreme shout out to the sistas from America and J.A. No separation we are all Africans.
While a WIN is a win, the Jamaican team hardly has anything to feel downcast about. A loss by 1 second or fractionally so, should NOT be a thing of disconsolation. The Jamaican anchoring dame was lightning; the US team was delayed thunder towards the end. One extra push by the Jam dame, her team would be the one celebrating.
And Noah's little brother, Josephus. And Coleman...and McLaughlin is seriously versatile ...did a 50.07 in a rainstorm..with no one pushing her....as a teenager....she coming for the 🏅 in Tokyo She has also done 11.07 & 22.39 & LJ 20'
What is the name of the black/blond American girl who put the USA ahead? She is a great strong competitor. I have never seen her compete in an open 400 meter race and wonder why not.
Allyson, and Sonya got me used to the US WOMEN just speeding past the other countries and then pulling away to pull a low 49. They spoiled us, cuz the whole time this race seemed slow.
These were B and C team runners. Courtney Okolo was the only A teamer, and she was having a very inconsistent year. Phyllis Francis, Shakima Whimbly, Shamier Little, Ashley Spencer to name a few, were all absent.
Really good race Jamaica! Good Job girls!!! Hats off to you - all four of you made us so proud!! Remember - Jamaica fits into the smallest States of the U.S.A. about five times and counting!!! Proud of them too - they are all black runners!!!! Great Job
Interesting. This was a great race yet I did not hear much about it from my Jamaican bredren friends. They are fanatical track fans but need to give more props when they lose, even when performing at the highest levels.
you chat much every country have person's that does that right now one Maurice Humphrey keep saying the reason why the US has gone 8 major championship without winning a gold in the men;s 4by 1 is bcz of Bolt even when the Brits won last year so it is better you keep silent on such matter
Well, I am not American. I am West Indian so the Americans concern me as much as they concern you. I am more concerned about my West Indian peeps, especially the Jamaicans since there is so much talent on tap. I understand everything is cyclical but I do believe the talent can be cultivated more before Worlds and 2020, no?
WTH was Okolo doing on this leg? She ran on the outside of the lane the entire friggin time...running much farther distance! That’s a horrible amateur mistake, and I hope she learned from this.
@@blessingokechukwu3614 peoplecan criticize a legitimate bad tactical decision. The anchor was lucky to have gotten the handoff when she did. Also, seems like you're taking this a little TOO PERSONAL lmao 😂😂😂
Kiana Horton (from Baylor) ran a great 3rd leg and broke the race open, giving Okolo a 4-meter lead. But WTF was Okolo thinking running out wide the whole race? She has literally run dozens of anchor legs in her career but looked like a rank amateur on that leg. She was damn lucky Horton gave her that big lead.
