lol yeah she was. She was looking at the clock when she passed the line. She knew it was a world record before the pundits knew. She’s always going for the world record when she runs. She has no other competition.
@@sandramadu4977 I'd amend this slightly. She was not going for the record in the prelims; she was just ensuring that she won them. This one she laid down for a specific purpose: to remind Femke Bol that Paris will be a real race.
@@ArtsInNYCremind Femke bol that Paris will be a real race ???? Femke has never run anything remotely close to this or the 50.68( Femke was beaten badly in that one ) . The only “real race” is Sydney versus the clock and HERSELF !!
@@FloorBoontjes-wo1hvShe is arguably top 5 most talented sprinters of all time. She’s been dominating since high school. She’s proven she can run fast naturally in high school, college, and pro.
Wow! The sky is the limit for this lady, she must go for the 400m flat and 200m as well, after winning this year's 400m H at the Paris Olympics. Congratulations Sydney!
@@dmvbay2535 I'd like to see that but I don't think Anna's quite at that level just yet. Bol is a great closer but Anna, historically, has had a tendency to fade a little in the final stretches of the races although in this race today she appeared stronger than ever before in the closing yards. I think if she gets bronze at the Olympics that'll be a great achievement for her.
The thing I love the most about her is that she never coasts, she never showboats, she just runs as hard as possible right through the line. I wish more runners would do this.
Racing against herself as far as American competition. Let's see what happens during World competition at the Olympics. I still think Sydney will win but not by such a large margin.
@@mikethomas860 She’s going to break her own record. Do you see her leaning in at the finish line while everyone else is 2.5 seconds behind? Sydney is a machine.
For all the past comments that Sydney Mclaughlin will not reach 50.68 anymore that, that was a one time hit, that Femke Bol will beat her and so on and so forth, she breaks the record once again from 50.68 to 50.65. Femme Bol will have to contend with Cockrell and Jamaica's Clayton who both ran 52 sec± for second/third place. Barring any injury, Sydney will be the Olympic Champion......PERIOD
Sydney McLaughlin continues to amaze with her unparalleled performances! Breaking records left and right, she's truly a force to reckon with on the track. Her dedication and skill shine brightly, inspiring athletes everywhere. Congratulations on another phenomenal achievement!
I hope Femke Bol and her fans were watch; they better hope Femke can get a Silver Medal in the Olympics because Anna Cockrell have really gotten better.
She has to content with Anna C and Jamaican Clayton who briefly had the World Lead before Sydney broke it at the Heats on Thursday. It is possible Femke Bol may not medal at all
Mind you, Edwin Moses gad no one absolutely no one pushing him and he still ran a best 47.02. If anyone would have pushed him, he would have ran under 47 many years ago.
@@kaborimaishit’s not a matter of choice at all! it’s a fact that she’s not more dominant than Edwin Moses. Mosses won 122 races in a row and was only beaten twice ! and finished 3rd at Seoul in his final race at 33. He was unbeaten for 11 years Sydney is only 24 so she has time to be the most dominant !
Poor Shamier little. She made the finals in both the 400m and 400mh and didn’t make the Olympic team in EITHER event. She’s always there but often misses the chance to make the top 3 for these big competitions.
And all the Femke fans who seem to have short memory span on who Sydney is, I hope you all have regained it. Femke should be worried about Anna and not Sydney cause she isn't getting anywhere near Sydney baring injury.
@@caravaggio31 Her German running mates admitted they was taking PED. namely anabolic steroid Oral-Turinabol (4-Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone) with dosages ranging from 530 to 1460 mg/year
Famke Who?? Congrats Queen Sydney, my heart goes out to Delilah Muhammad. It was a great career. You are in top 5 times in hurdles all time and Gold and Silver Medalist. For Sydney this year, she carefully picked her races, ran a 22.01 200, a 48.70 in 400. This all culminated to a New World record! 50.67! In the past, she even ran well in 100 hurdles, what a Hybrid and Enigma!
This is one of Bol's fans that was saying that Bol will beat Sydney, lol....in your wildest dream. Barring an injury, that's only Bol's chance in winning....even that is not guaranteed as Clayton from Jamaica and Anna C. have vastly improved. Bol should worry about those regarding silver medal
Sydney is a class act.. She is on a league of her own. To those who doubted and underestimated Sydney saying that Femke Bol will beat her, think again.
She looked different...you could see her putting the effort in during the second half of the race...she was turning it over after that 8th hurdle...simply amazing
My best athlete of the century CONGRATULATIONS for this Stirling performance.❤❤❤ Lowering the world record has already become a habit. What a lady! Humble ❤ beautiful ❤and incredibly talented ❤👏👏👏
Unless Sidney breaks both legs or has a heart attack Femmke Vil has virtually no shot. She’s a great athlete but she’s unfortunate to have in her time a generational great like a Usain Bolt in the men’s sprints.
😅😅😅😅---Love your comment-------at this point, I don't think Femke Bol getting on PEDs will help her-----She is so far behind Sydney in talent and athleticism that she should just forfeit and not show up in Paris.
@@Truthteller01🤣🤣🤣-----History says that if you see Europeans running fast, they are on PEDs----look at all the world records set by Europeans in the 400m and 800----all drug infused------I am confident that Bol is both doped up and coked up-----she should be drugged tested by the IOC on hourly bases in Paris.
This why she did a 200 for speed and that 400 to get an idea where she was in the 48’s. It lets her know I got to run through those hurdles without breaking stride. She did that and it the result is 2 second difference. 200 was to see whether she was gassed after still on top speed. I wouldn’t doubt she could fly in the 47s!
i said it on a post. if she is 100% healthy. Count her in for a gold in Paris. Hey this performance is Legend's statement. Nobody can beat her this time. ❤❤❤
I'm so disappointed that she did not go for a double event. I wanted her to compete in the 400m flat as well. She is in the form of her life, if there ever is a time to do a double event, it is now. I hope she won't regret it later because I'm already regretting her decision.
competition?? from whom? Please do not come with Bol is going to compete and beat Sydney nonsense---it is becoming tiring hearing that lie over and over again.----Bol might not even medal in Paris
I knew she was going for another WR. That's why she opened her season with those flat 400 races and the 200s early in the season. Tbh, most of the race is about speed. She's going to continue to dominate if she keeps using that strategy.
What makes Syd strong is that she is already faster as shown by her times over 200 and 400 m, but she is more resistant finishing faster than the other girls!
yup.....Bol's fans have been making noise from last year how she could beat sydney, lol. Well, they won't be talking anymore since there is zero chance of Bol beating Sydney. She will be lucky if she is 2nd or 3rd with Anna C and Jamaican Clayton
@@kutznnty7542¿ Donde te vas a meter cuando tus predicciones no salgan como pensate? Creo que todos alardean acá, yo prefiero ver para creer y si claramente Syndey tendría que ganar, pero no corre sola
@@kutznnty7542being British I fail to understand how there is this mocking of Bol by Sydney fans. It is plainly obvious that Bol will beat Clayton and Cockrell as obvious as Sydney will beat those two as well. Suggesting that Bol may come 4th is simply ridiculous - there is more chance of me going to the Dark Side of the Moon with China on their next trip.
@garethnorth6530 Bol's fan started this when Sydney was inactive last year and Bol was doing very well. They started flapping their gums saying that Bol was better than Sydney. Now that Sydney broke another record for the 5th time (Bol has not smelled or come close to breaking anything), I just wanted to remind them that the Quuen of 400m hurdles was still around. So it is not about Sydney's fans coming for Bol, her fans started this.....go see all the comparative youtube videos between them and see all the comments
@@kutznnty7542 ah ok - I see what you say. Silly talk from last year. I did check now you say Bol has not come close to breaking anything as I thought she had. Bol broke the world indoor 400m record 3 times in the last 18 months whether you / the USA class that as important or not the World Athletics Federation does ( and USA athletes were in the race when she broke it this year ). Have a good day !
Just to put things into perspective, the 400m World Record of 50.65 Secs by Mclaughlin would have been No. 5 in the NCAA womens 400m Flat or No. 6 in the 400m flat Women finals. Just amazing, we are seeing a once in a generation athlete
THIS TICKS ALL THE BOXES OF STRUCTURAL ORGANISED PED USE Indications for doping use. 1.) strong evidence against the coach testimonies by previous pupils, etc. 2.) An Experienced Athlete is stuck at a certain level, but after joining a coach with a reputation for drugs the PB's suddenly drop spectacularly. 3.) Athlete competes very little. This way the athlete can be fed small dosages in a controlled surrounding (Microdosing) 4.) Athlete "mysteriously" disappears from competition, especially during a "minor year" 5.) Athlete sudden re-emerges not to long before A big event, suddenly more muscular and "stronger than ever" 6.) The athlete suddenly delivered hitherto unheard of performances, that seemed "impossible" before 6.) Athlete develops injuries, even though he or she competes very little. This is a clear indication that the muscles of the athlete have been artificially enhanced to a level that is greater then what the bonesstructure, cartilege and tendons of the athlete can handle. Now lets look at the case of mrs McLaughlin and mr Kersee 1.) Her coach Bob Kersee is well known as a doping coach, there are even official testimonies against him, 2.) Before joining mr Kersee mrs McLaughlins carreers more or less topped out. Her was PB 52.23, 3.) After joining Kersee in 2020, with already 6 (!) years of experience, her PB suddenly dropped to 51.46 in 2021 and 50.68 in 2022 4.) Since 2020 McLaughlin has never been competing more then 6 to 7 (and often less) times a year, 5.) In 2023 (pre-Olympic year) and 2024 McLaughlin stopped competing 5.) McLaughlin developed a "minor knee injury" in 2023, even while only having run 5 races on the 400m and 1 on the 60 meter 6.) McLaughlin reappears after 1.5 year, just before the big event, and deliveres a UNNATURAL performance, after only 3 serious races. THIS WHOLE THING BEGGARS BELIEF.
Errmm I'm sure Femke didn't take part in this race and I'm sure the Femke fans were referring to Paris. I'm a neutral (love them both) but had to reply to this weird comment.
Wierd how.....Femke Bol fans have been harping all year how she will beat Sydney, well Sydney just made a statement with 50.65 secs. She let her work speak for her than a bunch of fans talking crap...
Unfortunately they keep trying to create this rivalry. Bol is very good but Bol just can’t run 50 point anything and that’s okay. Sometimes timing is bad and you have a freakish athlete like Sydney competing the same time
@@GandrewjmExactly. There's a reason most records get broken at the Olympics, because athletes peek at that time. This WR is impressive, but there are mind games being played.
@@cyranodaburgerack8745 yep. I just watched Shericka Jackson basically jog to win the Jamaican 200m trial in 22m29s.....whereas Gabby Thomas went all out to win the USA trials in 21m81s. By the OP's logic it means that Gabby has beaten Shericka..... but I wouldn't bet on that come Paris 😄
I'll agree to that when I see her do well in pole vault, shot put, high jump, 800 meters run, 100 meter hurdles, javelin throw, and long jump. Then you might have an argument. For now let's just agree she's the best 400m hurdler ever.
