I was in a toxic marriage like the one y’all were joking about & that it sounds like Andrew Tate supports, for 20 years. Literally if I spent $1 over my grocery budget I got in trouble. I wasn’t allowed to make decisions because I wasn’t the man. Very, very sad how wrong Christian culture taught marriage in the 80’s & 90’s, which led to horrible abuse in today’s church/society. Somehow they focused on the “wives submit to your husbands” in Ephes 5:22-24 & missed 5:21 that says “submit to one another”. Thankful Jesus got me through those tough years, and that I am free now. Such a blessing to hear Christian men talk about how wrong that thinking is! 👏🏻 Good to know Katie will never go through what I did. 😄 Y’all are more of an encouragement to me then you’ll ever know! 🙏🏻
Husbands should give attention to their part of the Ephesians 5 passage. We cannot single out the "wives submit to your husbands" part. Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the church. Jesus went as far as dying for the church. That's quite the level of sacrificial love. Husbands should give special care towards their wives. In Ephesians 5:22-33, there are 12 verses explaining the biblical construct of marriage. 9 of the 12 verses address the husband, yet that part gets ignored. I am so sorry to hear about your story, Elizabeth. I am glad to hear God helped you thru that.
Hey Trey & Jake! I was probably one of the only college-aged guys that was at your Indianapolis show that wasn't dragged along by their girlfriend. We're a small group, but not ALL of us are mom's. You guys are awesome!
Embarrassing bathroom story. My oldest son was at the age where it was kind of hard to take him to the ladies room with me, but I didn’t feel super comfortable with him in the men’s room by himself. We were at a family restaurant where the men’s and women’s rooms faced each other, so I let him go in to the men’s room by himself while I waited outside the door. He was taking longer than I thought he should have. I knocked on the door several times and called his name, but he did not answer me. I finally warned everyone in there that I was counting to 3 and walking in. I did that. There was nobody else in there. My son was playing in the sink, so I walked in, grabbed his hand and started walking out as a big, burley man was walking in. He looked shocked and apologized to me, turned around and walked straight into the women’s bathroom. We left.
Unbeknownst to me, my jokester, teenage son “liked” Andrew Tate on my Instagram and then went through his profile and “liked” everything in my name. His friends were dying that I was such a fan. I’m not.
Honestly, when “Red Panda” came up, I thought you were referring to that animated movie lol I was shocked the guys had seen it but Katie hadn’t. But then… hahahah.
THIS IS A POSITIVE COMMENT FOR KATIE SHE CAN READ AND WONT BE UPSET BY IT: Katie looks more and more comfortable being a “guest” on the podcast! We love to see it! Plus she gets prettier and prettier ❤️
I’m so glad you said you have moms in your audience. I almost talked myself out of going to your show even though I have tickets, because I was afraid I would be too old to be there. Love Katie!
I always try to see how many times I can make the Chick-fil-A employees say "my pleasure" in a single visit. One time I got ELEVEN "my pleasures" in one dine-in visit. It was incredible. It just might be one of my finest moments ever. I know what you're thinking. No way. But between the order being taken, handed out, staff sweeping in the lobby, sweet tea refills, etc., there's just so many opportunities for "my pleasures" that I think could even beat 11 next time. I know what you're saying. I'm an idiot...well, you would be right. 😅
loving having Katie on! Fellow "Caitie" here! Doing great work out there! This podcast always makes me smile! :) My mom and dad can't say quinoa or Chipotle! LOL
so random--I watched Snowpiercer with someone I used to date (when we were dating) with Korean subtitles--what a trip! This concept definitely reminded me of that movie, too!
Lolz just a heads up for your audio file on Spotify… i think you forgot to take out the whole part with the audio playing in the background and discussing whether or not you should talk about certain controversial things.
I'm female and I've been enjoying the manosphere mainstream influence. I don't personally agree with everything Tate says and I've never heard him say all women are property. He can live his life with his women as adults, his wives gave consent, and they enjoy their lifestyle. I think some of it has been positive for men and women, we become so modern that we deny biology. We've become so modern that the MILITARY no longer operates on the differences between men and women. It's also very new for history to consider voting a "right" and not a privilege. Everyone should be able to say what they want. I think young men are realizing how much this cancel culture and wokeism is against straight males. The trial with Depp, I mean for history women have privilege and seen as inherently "good" people when there are manipulative women too! But for a man to speak or DEFEND himself from such a woman is taboo...... There is nothing wrong with traditional marriage, with wives and mothers staying at home and husbands providing... There is nothing wrong with women making the HOME their career and taking care of their families. If women stop doing this we are truly lost. And then we wonder why do we have more obese children.....
Hahaha... opening. My mom would ask me what I put in Rick's lunch. Me: Uhhhhhh. Then when Rick and the kids would ask what I was making for dinner that day, my go to reply: Something delicious - this meant, I had no clue and probably still needed to stop at the grocery store for whatever I made. LOL BTW, that sign, SO annoying but I'm only 1:17 minutes in. Look for my post-stroke re-hab bill. :)
@@bygraceonly182 She had to wake up at 3:30am to pick up papers & then roll them before delivering them, all to get paid hardly anything. I’m all for working, but that job was not a good fit! For a decade she was perpetually tired, & her health suffered because of it. However, she did save an older person from freezing to death one morning!
Come on guys do a little more research.... Not on Tate but "manosphere" content. As a woman, it's very interesting and I find it difficult to disagree with a lot of their messages. As millennials, my husband and I grew up in this hyper feminist society following those same talking points. Women are oppressed and I need to work hard and I did! I worked full-time, had a business and went to school. My husband took longer to get started and lacked assertiveness. The manosphere content has been helping us get to a place in our relationship that is ideal for us personally. We noticed that when I stay at home and my work is focused on cleaning and making amazing meals so we dont miss the restaurants but still eat what we like. It's been working out so well for us! He gets home now and we get to relax because we divide and conquer. Work is done at home and food is ready, he's worked already to make the money we need and we get to eat dinner together and relax. I feel that many of us younger folks are missing this traditional example in life.
That's not actually shocking when the book was written. Because white Christians in 2000s was giving my white husband and me( Indian) advice like that..hence we were failing. My Indisn parents were Christian..and I had never heard that. My dad was a doctor but he would come home and make dinner or chai in the mornings for my mum. So definitely "White Christianity"
So sorry to hear that male toxicity made its way into your marriage in the name of Christianity. I know how hard it is when you have an excellent example of marriage in your parents & yours doesn’t mirror that. 😢 God bless you. I hope you’re doing well now! 🙏🏻
@@evirgil84 such a gentle spirit. Thankyou for your kindness. 🙏 I hope to pen a book about my parents lives. They are both gone now. I think I'll quote your thoughts in some chapter or opening
@@smithaday9225 That’s an amazing goal! My dad is also in Heaven now, so I relate with that heartache as well. Feel free to send me a friend request on Facebook or Instagram if you’d ever like to chat further about your life & the struggles you’ve endured. Praying you have a blessed day today, my friend.
LOL wait until you're 35 and people you work with are in their 20s 😅 Also! Please come to the Bay Area soon! I promise there will be many folks in baggy old t-shirts and Birks 😜
Love the pod, but Andrew Tate is actually really great, you guys are pulling info from the sites who hate him. The videos you played are taken out of context.
