I do not think she was being punished for adultery this level of punishment was usually reserved for murderers and honestly I dont think this is a 'only for women' punishment. To me doing this simple because she cheated sounds unreasonable. She either killed someone or pissed of a king/lord. The very limited info doesnt help much either.

I live in the United States, and I have seen a good majority of instances, on a personal and political level, where women are treated like garbage, and i absolutely hate it.

@@UGAPhoenix I agree with you. I get the impression that here in the US, a lot of people, especially those in official positions, they want them to be silent, lack independence, and be nothing more than brood mares. It makes me sick and ashamed to bear witness of such degradation.

I think most of our music around the world objectify women to a point where it’s no more appealing.

@@UGAPhoenix I find that people in general treat others here like garbage, regardless of gender. There is no one under more attack right now than single white males- mostly by women who have swallowed the garbage fed to them by other women. And I say this as a proud, strong, loving, and giving woman. Self-hatred is rampant here in the states, which generates all the negativity towards others, and this is being encouraged by many interest groups- social and political alike. I hope it burns itself out soon, but I despair.

@@marcialavine1272 I am going to have to respectfully disagree with you. In my personal opinion, single white males, which is the category I fall under, are not under attack from anything. If anything, women are treated with more disrespect than a single white male. You have a man and a woman that are both in the same positions at the same job, working the same hours on the same days. But on average, the man will make more money than the woman. It's that whole gender wage gap, which btw, is a very real thing. Women need to be treated like the queens that they are. As my mom said to me growing up, without women, the human race would not exist at all. We need to treat women with love, honor, integrity, respect, and kindness. The moment that you don't do that, you have officially set back the progress that women have accomplished. Now, I will be honest with you, I will always treat a woman the way that I want to be treated, and then some. The one and only time that I will go against my morals is if a woman decides it is a good idea to come at me like a man and putting my life in danger. What I will end up doing is defending myself using whatever methods is necessary. I do respect your opinion, even though I think you may be wrong on your thoughts about this subject.
