Facts... I love being off in the summer as a teacher but I worry about my students that come from a single parent house hold. I know there home by themselves or mama abusive boyfriend. They are not reading or learning anything but rap music and video games or involved in illegal activities. I don't believe for a second that the men are leaving. I think that in the vast majority of cases the men were never there. What I mean by that is, they got pregnant by guys that they've known for a very short time in many cases. I'm talking less than 6 months. I've seen this multiple times. I've started jobs in large manufacturing plants were coworkers start dating and boom within 6 months they are having a kid. It's completely irresponsible to have a child with someone you've known for essentially several weeks. No commitment, or marriage, or anything. Just two people making babies.🤦

A great many husbands are emotionally negligent…wanting high-yield marital dividends for no- or low-investment efforts. (And let’s not even start on the growing number of men sleeping around with other men on the side.) Naw, most men ain’t gonna file cause he loves having in-house p@@@sy, a cook, a maid, someone to carry the lion’s share of raising their kids. HTTN…why the heck would he file when he’s getting back so much despite putting so little in?!?! And, too, there’s still the “cheaper-to-keep-her” mentality, too. There IS a huge difference between this kind of man and one who truly *is* fighting to improve himself and his marriage. The fact is that, in many cases, by the time a woman files papers and decides to check out, it’s because that negligent husband has LONG since checked out…emotionally and domestically. (Even if he ain’t cheating with other women/men, he often has other things/people/hobbies, etc. that he puts before his wife and family.) It’s beyond exhausting for women to be stuck trying to play her role and the hubby’s, too. Cause he thinks paying bills makes him king and he ain’t gotta do schit else…and that’s assuming he even does that…we won’t get started on the growing number of households where wifey is the primary breadwinner. 🥵 But it’s easier for you guys to look innocent and to look like you’re staying and making the effort when in fact, you’re often (not always) doing little to nothing. And that’s why the women are tired beyond all reality and decide to GTFO to save ourselves. Life is short. That foolishness that our mothers, grandmothers, ancestors did - giving our all to men who are often all over the place but then leaving the brunt of the marital and domestic work to us women - nah, that day is OVAH!!!
