I miss SS radio on RU-vid. Thanks for this clip. I totally agree. The IOC is can hurt a girl badly letting this happen in a high contact sport. The new thing they’re saying is that they are women With female parts with XY chromosomes. Let’s just play the game then. Doesn’t that mean they basically are blasting test? A PED?!? Like Rip this is still wrong!!!! I’m with you guys on this.
I'm a boy and sometimes I put on lipstick and a wig and sign up for local powerlifting meets as a girl. I win gold every single time and I don't even do starting strength.
Are you guys talking about that Algerian lady? She’s not even trans? It seems the crew didn’t think about how absurd the idea that Algeria would send a trans boxer to represent them is. Being lgbt is illegal in Algeria, it’s a strict Muslim country.
@@AlexanderNayebi yeah no shit, right? This is what happens when you run your mouth without all the facts. SS is so far behind the times. It’s all just Anti science fear mongering. Only Sets of 5, doing the same 4 lifts forever is also terrible advice, neglecting all other lifts because you can’t add 5 lbs forever… it’s like they’ve never heard of double progression, myo-reps, partial reps, back off sets… nope only 5’s make you stronger. Lol
She's intersex. She has many of the advantages that a male has in terms of physiological features that can only come about from being exposed to testosterone in the womb in the same way a male baby does. The real question is whether or not intersex people should be able to compete against biological women. Trans people is an obvious no, but the moral and ethical questions arising from true intersex people in sports has yet to be decided due to the very rare occurrence of them in the world.
The IOC has allowed males with Disorders of Sexual Development to compete as women. (They have also allowed trans-identified males to compete as women.) The likely specific disorder in these boxers (and several past Olympians) is 5-ARD. As an embryo, the normal male reproductive structure develops internally because the babies are responsive to testosterone. However, they are not responsive to DHT which is responsible for the development of the external genitalia. They are born often mistaken as female at birth. However, at puberty they go through a normal male puberty with all attendant increases in muscle mass, bone density, etc. Unscrupulous coaches scout areas where there have been concentrations of these DSDs. It is grossly unfair and _dangerous._ A man the same height and weight as a woman will punch with 162% more force - onto a less dense female skeleton. The IOC did away with sex tests and refuse to bring back a simple check swab. It is corrupt to its core.
An ex schoolmate of mine went trans a couple of decades ago. Thousands of Facebook followers and every time he posts, hundreds of likes. Today he posted a victory pose photo of a cycling event he just won in the women's division. So proud of himself, and of course, hundreds of likes and encouraging comments. Makes me furious, but there's a lot of soft headed people out there cheering this garbage on.
Im not a hater. I like starting strength. They made me question why I was going to the gym. I'm a middle aged woman. Was i going to be happy doing Zumba into old age but progressively getting weaker while doing that? These are concepts about aging that are not put to the general population. They're advised to 'be more active.' Starting Strength gave me information about the aging process and how it is lack of strength that mainly causes frailty in old age. However, I've got to say that I would rather have men kissing eachother than shooting eachother. There's too much of that going on.
"Important sport" 😂😂😂😂😂 If Olympic Lifting is important and popular, simply start a weight lifting organization and make a boatload of money for yourself. I LOVE FREEDOM + DO NOT STRAY TO FAR FROM WHAT I SAY YOU SHOULD DO = BOOM!
@@LibertyGarden Maybe if you thought about it for two minutes you’d realize how ridiculous this is. That Algerian boxer is not even trans, Algeria wouldn’t send them if they were. Algeria is a strict Muslim country where homosexuality is illegal. The boxer lady’s father didn’t want her boxing at all because it’s not womanly. How would she even transition in Algeria? It makes no sense, but you types gobble up whatever you read on your preferred source of bullshit and never think about the logistics of what you’re reading.
There is a lot of transphobia in this video. However i do agree men who have gone through puberty shouldn't be allowed to complete with men or just get rid of the womens division and have only an open division and say good bye to womens sports. I am all for trans rights i will call them by their preferred name and i will use their preferred pronoun but sports is seperated by biological sex not gender identity
