This is a great, informative video. I am doing a research project for a triology course and my subject is women in the military. I had no idea the Israeli army was like this and I'm so glad I found this video. The anthropological analysis on this will be perfect.

at a time when english women are today refused access to fight for their country the IDF is a beacon just as bright and shining as Israel. England should learn that we can be the same value as men. Perhaps it is too long since engalnd belived it would die and had to fight for life. Maybe then you would realise our value.

Beatiful girls, soon I"ll be joining the IDF and hope to marry there

I trained with a female and she was well liked and respected. She was a better soldier than most of the men. She was feminine but carried the M-60 machine gun when it was her turn like the rest of us men. I would have chosen her to serve with on a dangerous mission over many of the men. She was the exception as its not a natural type of work for a woman.

As far as buddies,i was in military intelligence and we usually traveled in 2's.As for your other question---the answer is simple.In Israel,the people were more relaxed,more open,and it appeared happier than those other places I mentioned.In the 3 other places,people were more hurried,more suspicious and rarely talked and the men rarely smiled---they would look at me like I was there to kill everyone around.And I had a beard and longer hair,not military style.

These ladies are awesome. We have some ladies in US like this. Although not required and maybe didn’t served they’re are strong, patriotic, confident and still balance being a lady. Watching these women smile, be happy, unity with all soldiers lady’s and gentlemen is mind blowing awesome. I see many of US women soldiers as awesome also. They can be tough, intelligent, skilled in defense role (different from smart), and still ladies. It’s great. Wish I were 17 again. I’d do basic between junior senior year enlist for term then get college and go for warrant officer. No problem with women. I’d like to see some U.S. liberal ‘Feminist’ go in service. It would be great for them, empowering and maybe happier, good for country. They would get chances they claim not to get in civilian world. It would help reduce divisions they feel. Lady IDF are happy while carry huge pack or their very dirty and smiling. It’s great.

Why are men with physical abilities comparable to women rejected?
