In the past two years i worked so hard that i only got lower back pain as a reward and my boss did not even think of promoting me for my efforts. Any way i like how women have broken the glass ceiling and promoted in their career to a botter positions since they are juggling between work and home tasks.

I encourage women to perform their tasks diligently whether they are asked to take on top jobs or less important ones. Gradually, if they set their heart on diligence, some of those women will see themselves moving up the career ladder and break the glass ceiling.

Maybe you can't advance in some jobs but you always can still learning in free time. Sometimes, some too demanding jobs are not for all, but you can work in something you like, and still studying in free time, into another hobbies too.

And politically correct according to today's standards. Of course everything is. I doubt anyone wanting to learn English would be picking up Sigmund Frued. But, that opening dialogue was loaded with it. Good skills for today's passive aggressive society.

Bob: You know what Peter, I heard the distance between the earth and the sun is 150m kilometres Peter: Where did you here (so / that) ? Which is the correct word from those in brackets? Explain why choosing the wrong one affects the meaning of what Peter is trying to ask. Thanks.
@bbclearningenglish
@bbclearningenglish Год назад
Good question. "That" refers to the object noun phrase "the distance between the earth and the sun is 150m." Rather than the verb "hear" - The object of the question is the source of the information, i.e. "Where" - we use "so" as an adverb to describe a verb - for example "I don't think so." Hope that helps.

I believe women would be better bosses. Men are harsher, so most of the time they do not care about you. On the other hand, women have more sympathy and make you feel appreciated. I guess that's one way to increase the productivity of a company.
