Congrats to the two New Zealanders, one and two. Our country of 5 million are so proud of your achievements! I hope Maia gets to join our Olympic team. Having 1500m runners is a great legacy that continues for the black singlet! Would be great to have both a male and female in Paris in this event.

As a Kiwi great to see these two succeed. I would like to have seen a better tactical race from the rest of the group though after seeing Flockhart run 2:05 in semi's. Got to wonder how they let that one go. Were they just not ready for Ramsden's move?
