I’m so proud of Keely Hodgkinson 🥇 As someone who watched her burst onto the scene I always knew she had greatness in her and that her day would come! Well done for bringing home the gold medal! This wasn’t just about natural talent it was also the hard work and determination that has got her to this level 💪 Love from London ❤️
@@stellalochodo9163 congratulations to Moraa and Kenya 👏 Although I’m sure some of that margin has been because Keely has been on her holidays enjoying her gold medal 🥇 with her family 😉
If you can’t use original commentary from one of the broadcasters due to licensing reasons or whatever then please don’t dub this after-the-fact narration over the ambience of the stadium and crowd. It’s so much worse. Let us hear the fans and the athletes. We know what happened, we can see it with our eyeballs, we don’t need the summary. And if you want to provide audio description for people with sight problems then put another video up for that too
It was a long time off her best (which is 1:54.61). The point about the Olympics is winning the medal; record chasing comes later. I don't think the odd few hundredths of a second will make much difference.
@@lukak1774 I think it was just that Keely had been aiming for that win having been the bridesmaid with 3 silvers. That's what mattered to her at the moment, and it was relied as much as anything.
@@rzblde’you and yours’ lol what’s that supposed to mean. Black people usually win these events, it’s unusual to see a white person win a running race, so it’s not particularly absurd that people would mention it.
Anyone else thinking how American the Brit winner Hodgkinson now looks? But I see she's suffered along the way - a nasty tumour near an ear was removed when she was 13..but she's also managed to get a university degree(Leeds) under her belt. I hope she gets all the career success that Seb Coe(remember him?) - now Baron Sebastian Coe no less - managed to achieve. Dame Keely Hodgkinson some day? PS ...and her Wikipedia pages say she's only 1.70 tall ! But hey - that's exactly 1cm taller than a certain Lionel Messi. Shorter people by definition have to be (far) more talented and much stronger physically and mentally than the ever taller, dominant majority. Paul G
@@andrewwigham3026 @andrewwigham3026 Oh dear - please don't try to irrelevantly "educate" a highly intelligent Brit as to which countries "most Americans" originated from. She clearly looks like a top all-American female athlete in several obvious respects - period. And whether you like it or not.. Paul G
@@paulgovan3507 Northern European, that's what she looks like. The typical slim tall blue eyed blond from North Europe. She could be German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish etc...
Keely has run faster (1:54.61) than Athing Mo (1:54.97). Besides which, Athing Mo is clearly not fit at the moment, and couldn't break 2 minutes on her last outing, coming in 5th. If Athing Mo had been in Paris, then I doubt she would have made the final given her performances this year.
