It's Weird enough hearing a Maori with an Australian accent but when I met some cousins that had American accents because they moved to Hawaii I was blown away.
Yeh that be different.. I met a Maori fulla in Taihape years ago he was the principal of Taihape college he had an American accent & his wife was Native American think she was of the Sioux Nation & they had 2 teenage kids boy & a girl and they really looked Native.. This fulla had moved over to the states with the Mormon church movement would of been around the mid - late 60’s and that’s where he ended up staying before coming home 👌
She looks 100% Maori, but when she started saying "maori" AhhahahahahhaaaHHAHA Hilarious. As a Maori, that was just too funny. Sad her parents buried that part..so sad. I would always long to know my grandparents if I do not know them at all.

Her grandfather being Māori doesn't really explain her skin tone. She's only a quarter Māori. I'm guessing she's mixed with something else. Mexican, black perhaps

She looks Filipina to me. Possibly half white and Filipina. Maybe the white side is from NZ? Who knows? But it's odd that she didn't know she is Maori given how important whakapapa is to our people.
ladykickz nah I doubt that mate. If her grandpa was a Māori immigrant, her mom was highly likely to be born in the US. Let’s assume that her maternal grandmother was a white woman. Her dad could be any races, Asian, Black or Hispanic
