These women are so lost. My first date with my now-husband was cheap beer from a bar, and we went 50/50. We were broke students about to enter law school. Over ten years later, we have begun to build an empire together and pregnant with our 4th. My husband tries to buy me all the consoomer stuff these girls talk about, and I decline because it is a pointless waste of money and takes from our joint goals. They would have never given my husband a chance when I started dating him. But these types now try to interfere in our relationship often because they see a "rich" and stable (and I think very handsome :)) middle-aged man instead of a goofy, poor student taking a wild chance on himself. All this to say, it is way better to go on a journey with someone than to do what they are attempting to do. Most of them will stay lonely forever. I would feel bad for them but they're (on average) pretty bad people all things considered and so I just don't.

I mean, the first date my boyfriend and I went on was to a county fair. Bought like maybe 20 bucks worth of food and played 3 carnival games. We spent most of our time looking at the animals which we both loved. We are still together 6 years later. I would never expect someone to spend over $100 on a first date just because. My 51 year old aunt is the epitome of this. Never married, no kids. She thinks she’s the best and that no man is good enough for her. Constantly complains about being lonely and complains that I got married and that she’ll never get married. She’s severely obese, doesn’t take care of herself, is still immature, is a NEET, and hangs out with people who enable her perpetual victim mentality. Those are limiting factors. She doesn’t receive help for her mental problems because she thinks she’s perfect. I approach her with the possibility that she may have untreated autism because she exhibits the more extreme traits and because it runs in our family (me and a bunch of our other relatives). She acts insulted and refuses to listen. It’s ridiculous. You can’t help someone that won’t help themselves.

I find the “I don’t always want to be the leader” quite an insight into a person. They are effectively saying, “I want to be in charge when I want my way, but I want you to be in charge when it comes to responsibility.” She wants a man to be in charge when things don’t go her way, she’s unhappy, or it would entail responsibility. That will allow her to blame him for the way she feels or the outcome of an action or choice she made. It’s an attempt to have authority without corresponding responsibility. This woman is awful for a relationship. She is better off never having a husband, or even boyfriend. That’s harsh, but true.

The "girl, you're perfect the way you are" has to be the most harmful mentality for finding a long term relationship. The moment you say to yourself that you're beautiful no matter what and that you have no room to grow and that a partner has no right to suggest ways in which you could improve, you're stuck. Instead of having flexibility and openness you're instead looking for a doormat man or a 1 in a billion person who somehow actually thinks you're actually perfect- And odds are you're going to die alone. My girlfriend and I frequently admit to wrong doing to each other and state that we're still learning, we have no certainty about ourselves that would lock us out of learning from each other and being sympathetic to our differences.

Guys, I dated my wife for over 5 years before marrying. In that time I paid for everything! Every effing thing! Dinners, trips, vacations, gifts, etc were all paid by me. I derailed my goals and purpose to provide for a girlfriend. Yes we married but let me ask you what does any of those tens of thousands of dollars matter in divorce court? You will be laughed at if you mention it. The lesson is chase your purpose not women or kitty.

First date my boyfriend took me to was a small sushi spot that he was a regular at since he was young. We spent so much time talking that we hardly touched the food :) He took me to a local park afterwards to walk around the local pond.
