Both men and women need to stop going to doctors without knowledge of what they DON'T want as a treatment. Just be upfront, say no anti-depressants, no therapy (if you think the problem isn't behavioral) and don't leave until you get a satisfactory answer.
@heartfullofhippies great question. It's a lucky hormone fluctuation. If you can find a doc who can help you. There are hormonal and non hormonal treatments. If you take certain meds, they can really suppress the libido. If you take BP meds, statins, depression meds or diabetes meds they can work against your libido. And it can be difficult to talk about even with the doctor.
