TTERRY almost catch Shelly because Shelly got injured and that's when USA got the advantage and Gabby run just as fast as the jamaican 3rd leg it seems as if she run faster than her because she run on inside lane on the curve. The fastest leg was Sha'carri's leg. Any other athlete in usa team would have been run down by Shericka on that anchor
@@biams2157What 4x1 are you watching? The Americans ran a faster split at EVERY position!!! Your ignorance is comical. The world record for the 100, 200 and 4x1 are AMERICAN not Jamaican. The 6 out of 7 fastest 4x1 times EVER are American. SR ran Jackson’s fat tush down in the 100. Ran her down. SR beat her ever race before the WC. And ran AWAY from Jackson in the 4x1. So…….what race were you watching? Jackson is inferior to SR. You know this. Why would you post this ignorant rant?
TTERRY the 2nd runner did a good job but honestly she wouldn't run shelly down if it wasn't for Shelly's injury. She isn't faster than shelly. If she anchored as sha'carri did she would have been run down by Shericka.
Gabby Thomas and Sha carri were great female athletes...gabby was fantastic and fast and Sha carri was on point and ready....she s my favourite..excellent..
I'm a HUGE Sha'Carri fan and have watched and rewatched the handover from Gabby to Sha'Carri multiple times. What impressed me even more than Sha'Carri bringing it home was Gabby Thomas urging Sha'Carri on, after the handover, despite the press about their beef from Tee Tee Terry. It was obvious, after the 200m post-race interview that they were uncomfortable answering the question about whether they will represent in th 4 x 100. Gabby behaved like a loving Big Sister. Gabby Thomas has a BEAUTIFUL SOUL! Wish her all the best for Olympics 2024.
Why is everyone looking past TT if yall noticed she is the one who actually closes the gap. If TT never closed that gap America would have came in 3rd. When TT got the batton she literally passed everyone like she was on the freeway, giving America the Edge they needed to win.
@@asareprince2163 Yes exactly!! Kudos to them all I'm so proud of all of those young beautiful star men and women doing positive things in their lives.
@@sweetangelplus Not trying to be ignorant, We really don't care of her leg problem or if the girl from Great Britain knees got stiff.. Were not doing that. Our Girls from the United States Knew the assignment! That' s all that matters sweetheart 💋
@ThickerThanASnickers215 I can understand that point. If the 2nd leg runner was never injured during that leg, TT could have never closed that gap. TT had an added advantage that aided in the US win.
OUR QUEEN TT IN THE 2ND LEG ACTUALLY WAS THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN OUR QUEENS WINNING THAT RACE. TT HAD TO ADJUST TO A BAD HAND-OFF YET SHE REGROUPED AND REGAINED LOST GROUND LIKE A BULLET COMING OUT OF A MACHINE GUN!! SHE MADE UP LOST GROUND WITH THE FASTEST RUN! THEY ALL DID THEIR ASSIGNMENT AND WON THE GOLD!!❤❤❤
@kenishacarroll2117 The only reason TT catch Shelly because Shelly got injured mid race. She suffered a muscle strain in that leg and was just pushing to get the baton to the next runner. TT can never catch Shelly without that injury.
UK boy here, soooo happy for Shacarri as she was dragged through the mud by 'the usual media BS' and she's done it, god bless and good luck to her. Not many better smiles in sport. She's overcome those demons and is shining bright
Not true. It took all of them to make this happen. Just because the baton was in her hand, doesn't mean that Shericka couldn't catch her. We've seen Shelly Ann do it to so many runners. Sit down
The lane is stagger and when TT handed off the baton she was actually ahead slow down the race you will see that in other videos where you have professional track runners they will analyze the race and the splits and you'll see it
Big CONGRATS and WELL DONE to our Team USA! May I ask? What was that first reaction at 00:08? I kept replaying it to see if I saw anything funny and for the life of me, I couldn't see anything there worth laughing about?
I'm going to say it, the commentators had already made up their minds that Jamaica was going to lead the whole way and GLARINGLY miscalled both middle legs
2021 was their best team tho, Brianna was missing last year, now this year it's both her and Elaine... They want everyone back together. Hopefully they all come back together and SAFP anchors against Sha'Carri next time... How Mama 🚀 deserves to go out swinging.
2020 (2021), 2019, 2015, 2013, 2009, 2004. All those were solid Jamaican teams that won over the US. But Jamaica problem has always been the baton exchange. That is reason why they never broke the world record in 2021 as well as in those years I mentioned. Because most of the ladies of those were faster than the 2012 US team.
Keep on dreaming, that time has passed. Shelly was thumped in the 100m by both Sha Carri and Shericka. Jamaicas best female athlete now is Shericka Jackson and not Elaine nor Shelly. More young ones are coming through and better to start building them than hanging onto those facing the sunset like Fraser Price. The USA went through the same after Carmalitta Jetta and now they have a clutch of young female athletes able to run and wrestle with Jamaicas best. Embrace that.
The young lady number 3 for Jamaica was amazing (but had challenges with the handover), so was the number 4, I would say it went bad with number 2 for Jamaica
Jamaica needs to have relay camp, without this they will never be able to be consistent winning the relays. That 4×100m relay world record should have been gone in 2021. They won but with poor baton exchange. You're telling me the 2nd or 3rd fastest women ever on one team (healthy) both ran 10.6 before that relay, with a 10.7 and 10.9 runner couldn't get that record. I believe Shelly and Elaine should have switched leg with better handoffs and the record could have been obliterated. The Americans are slowly but surely not being a mess in the relay and we know they would usually mess in the relay. Jamaica needs to follow the camp system of the US, UK, China and etc to prevent or the drama and ensure better handoffs.
