At 0:39 that lady is probably looking at them like “damn why can’t I have a relationship” Edit: omg y’all are so nice thx for the likes I never got dis much
nah, she's just really really bad at explaining genology. Two identical chromosomes is the wrong way to describe it, two chromosomes with the same defect is better. But I don't think she even explainied that correctly unless Augie's got a partial or third chromosome, cause that's not how most genetic diseases work. More likely than not the disease would be on the one of the mothers x chromosomes, and the disease has a partial dominance or something, so her daughter didn't get any physical deformities as she got the good chromosome and her fathers x chromosome, whereas Augie must have gotten the bad chromosome from his mom and the Y from his dad, making the bad X the only X he had and allowing the trait to show. Ok so i searched it up, IDK how it works but there are two different types, one where each parent actually does have a mutated gene. IDK how that works, cause most of the time genetic disorders are on one or the other chromosome, I guess this is just a weird one, huh?
@@wbwam7710 it’s explained in the book but basically they both have the gene which made August have the facial deformity. If only one had it he would probably just carry the gene but there would still be a chance that he would also have facial deformities. If he has kids with a person who also carries the gene the kids will probably have facial deformities and like a 1/4 chance of carrying the gene. It’s really confusing but you should just check in the book or online the chances for people with the gene.
We’re really paying more attention to Auggie but Izabel Vidovic is selling this performance. I loved her on the fosters as Taylor and love her even more as Via
i was watching this movie with the whole school a few years back and everyone was too busy making cat calls at this scene, this scene is beautiful and sweet, but people take it too much as a joke
Uh im pretty sure it's a joke about school shootings because that's how most of the punchlines go for those kind of jokes, so I don't know where you got the idea of racism from...
I watched the movie in class and when they kissed, the whole class was covering their eyes and saying oh no oh no and I was the only one that did react XD
