@Ionasku Alexander Yeah but why would she be swinging from lightning bolt to lightning bolt if she could just hop on her plane? I think this is after something happens to the plane and she had to figure out a different way of getting some place fast.
About the running scene. There's a cool trick about it. When she throws her lasso, she goes so fast teh camera can't follow her properly. That's a way to show how powerful she is ; even the camera can't keep up.
That running scene that you liked so much was shot in real time. That was not CGI. Patty and Gal spoke about the stunts that are in the movie. Everything was done on set in real locations in real time. Gal does all her own stunts. How did Gal move that fast you ask.....That running was shot in Washington DC and Gal was on a wire. She was moving about 30 MPH. When you see Gal flying through the air its not Green screens. Its Gal flying through the air. Gal was hurt repeatedly throughout the shooting.
Me too. I love Kristen Wiig, but it's such an odd casting. I thought that of Gadot in the first one (she's so skinny), and was proved wrong there. Looking forward to being wrong again, hopefully.
@@iDEATH They wanted someone for the 'friend of Diana' part of the character much more than they wanted a 'savage Wonder Woman Arch nemesis'. They wanted her to be a tragic character and for that I think it was perfectly cast.
I had about the same reaction to the armor. I like the role reversal in the joke at the end compared to the trailers for the first movie where Diana was the fish out of water was great.
As I was born in 1969 the '80s was my era and it was an amazing decade! It was full of amazing films, music and it did feel like we were going into the future just think of all the futuristic films in the 80's it was a forward-looking decade... I am so glad that people are enjoying the sights and sounds of my fun decade and it was a silly but amazing tine. The Lady's look like there going to have a blast and it should be an amazing film...
: What made the first Wonder Woman film so current and still relevant and ultimately great is its heart. The action is top-notch, but its the heart, its emotion, that made the first movie so moving. It feels so authentic. I wish we will get to see and feel this authenticity in this new Wonder Woman film. So excited for this. #WW84.

Hey Mad! ;) I loved very much the first Wonder Woman movie! :) I loved everything on it (the story, the amazons, Steve Trevor, the evolution of Diana as Wonder Woman! I love so much the trailer of Wonder Woman 1984! :) She is gorgeous, her costume is so vibriant and her fight moves are amazing and her gold armor at the end of the trailer is awesome! :) I'm looking forward to see the evolution of the the relationship between Diana and Barbara and I can't wait to see the different steps of the transformation of Barbara Minerva as Cheetah! :) We can see a sneak peek of the beginning of her transformation when she is the wearing the black dress, her leopard high heels and the wavy wild hair! ;) I can't wait to see her final transformation as Cheetah, her powers and the fight between her and Wonder Woman! :)
I grew up in the 80s so I hope it has an accurate feel. The action looks fantastic! The villain is (I think) Maxwell Lord, who was the main villain in a Wonder Woman/Superman story arc called "Sacrifice", which was published about...maybe twelve years ago? It's about how Max Lord got hold of Superman's mind so deeply that he was able to make him imagine that his friends were world-threatening monsters, villains, etc. He became a real menace to the world. The Justice League (minus Wonder woman) couldn't stop him, and all nearly got killed. Then Diana comes around and goes out to stop him and try to bring him back to his senses. It turns into an epic battle, and it showed how powerful she really is. The story is excellent, and it was also very controversial because of what she does to deal with things. Basically she does what she had to, which were things other characters wouldn't have done. Not sure if we're going to see similar things in this movie

Hi I am ready to see Diana & Cheetah square off in this film. And I'm ready to see the shots of the movie they did in DC, I live in DC and was in the audience when they shot some stuff in downtown DC, was so exciting to see how this movie was being made. And what I loved about the first film was all the fight scenes, love that movie still.
Yes it's true that in many ways back during the 80's the West Coast was ahead of the East Coast but keep in mind that MTV in many ways sort of got the ball rolling exposing new music acts as well as movies that began in the East Coast area like flashdance and it took a while to reach out to the West Coast so the door sort of swang both ways. I was a kid that grew up on the East Coast in the 80's and I was happy even though my family didn't have the mansions, sports cars and all the money in the world like Beverly Hills and the West Coast.
I really need to catch up on some of the recent DC movies. Also, the music from the trailer, the artist who made it has uploaded it to his RU-vid channel.
Allegedly this movie had major problems during production and in writing (lots of rewrites). The trailer is good and I hope it is a Deadpool 2 save in Post Production.
It's funny that you said the 80's seemed futuristic. Let me tell you.....there's the 80's east coast and then there's living in the 80's on the west coast. HUGE difference. California in the 80's...well they were basically 10 to 15 years ahead of the rest of the country. They had VCR's before we knew they existed. They had all of the latest and greatest new theme parks. They pioneered all the trends and new food chains. Everything in Cali was electric neon and colorful and brand new and done 150% more than anywhere else. And then you had the 80's in the east coast.... lmao. Basically Napolean Dynamite. Ghetto, down to earth urban problems. Cali's were surfing the waves while Jesery folk were at the YMCA with knee high socks getting lectured about drugs and gangs.
The way the action is filmed may be close to the first WW movie (it's the same director after all... I just hope she got better), but what we see of the action scenes in this trailer look kind of a hundred times awesomer. Maybe it's the bombastic trailer (I hope not). But yes, Jenkins and Gal seem to work well together, they have a style.
