DC's highly anticipated Wonder Woman movie comes to theaters on June 2nd; and in the movie, Wonder Woman rocks an Amazonian warrior braid. Check out this tutorial to learn that braid on yourself!
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Hair Length: at least shoulder length

Tried this hairstyle last night, and I can see why Diana wears it. It stays for a long ass time. Long enough to train with your Amazonian gal pals, find a guy on the beach, and run off to fight Ares with him.

I've gotta try this again... I'm normally pretty good at doing your hairstyles, but this time my braid doesn't even look like a fishtail because my arms were BURNING while trying to do this. I understand now why Wonder Woman wears this, you must be so strong.

Trust me braiding gives you so much muscle I french braid my waist length wavy thick hair into a French braid every night (3 nights a week j don't as wash my hair 4 days I do) and it gives my arms such good muscles. It burns but my arms actually have muscles

I TRIED IT!!! And it worked (i was sweating... you wouldnt believe...) but it's still a bit too loose on the front section. But since I know the technique now, I'll try tomorrow again since I gotta go to work now :D

wait... that makes it a fishtail infinity braid hybrid!! no wonder some people can't decide wether it is one or the other, you figured out the truth!!! I know this is late but I am doing this hairstyle right now and it hit me :) and my arm that is still on my head to hold the unfinished braid hurts...

This is so much better/easier than one I had found a few weeks ago. It looks so much better and closer to the actual style. The other video had me dutch braid (regular 3 strand) down the back of the head, skip 2-3 adding in hair sections, then resume braiding, then tie off that braid only to untie it and fish tail braid the remaining hair. It always looked kinda funky and not right. Thank you sooooooo much. This is so much better.

I think this is the most accurate!! While watching the movie I was like "Oh, it's a dutch fishtail!.... wait no it's facing the wrong way... wait WHAT". And every other tutorial has just done an infinity braid on the top half. I reckon this is it though!! Well done!!

It's always so hard to tell on actors with dark hair, but yeah I thought it was the most likely braid as well. Gal Gadot's hair looks thin and slippery, so I can imagine the stylists wanting a fishtail but deciding to do this extra pass under technique to hold her hair in place through action scenes.

I'm really glad that I've found your channel! I was looking for a way to recreate the hairstyles from my favorite tv shows. There is one hairstyle in particular that I'm on a hunt for a way to recreate it, it's a hairstyle from a video game called Horizon Zero Dawn - Aloy's hairstyle. It's a little bit difficult to understand it (because it's a video game and not really realistic) but if there is someone who can do it - it's you! It will make me really happy to see a tutorial about it, especially on your beautiful red hair, so I hope you will see this comment.

Okay wow, this looks amazing. I'm usually not one to do a fishtail braid (I prefer my braids 3-stranded and quick), but this looks so cool that I will definitely try it some time! Thanks also on your great GoT-videos, I did one of the Cersei ones (Myrcella's Embarkment) for a friend's wedding and I got soooo many compliments on my hair, it was riddiculous

Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! I have been looking up several versions of this style and have come across a few versions that utilize a more simple "infinity braid" technique that appears to be more of a wrap than a braid. I feel like your warrior braid achieves a more stable and wearable style throughout the day, but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the subject.

I've noticed that you've done an Avatar tutorial on your channel in the past for the character, Katara. I am a huge fan of some of the shows on Nickelodeon!! Can you do a tutorial on how to do April O'Neil's ponytail and headband look from Nick's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or possibly any hair inspiration from Splinter and the Turtles based on your own ideas? It was just an idea that I thought of since you've done hair inspiration for the dwarves in your Hobbit tutorial. I'm very excited to see what you plan on doing next!

Is this pass-under style fishtail french braid called a warrior braid or does this type of braiding technique have a different name? Just wondering what to call it when someone asks what braiding technique I used. I've been calling it a reverse fishtail french braid. By the way, this technique also looks pretty cool doing a regular three strand French braid passing the hair under two strands and add to opposite side- people do a double-take wondering why it looks different than a Dutch braid!

can you do hobbit styles for lady's you are gonna have to get creative but the braids and twist and hair beads are up your alley and you have such beautiful red hair
