The Profane Quilter's quick tutorial on making wonky log cabin blocks from batik scraps. It's a fun, easy, and freeform way to make beautiful blocks and use up a bunch of scraps in the process.
OMG! those long intros make me crazy. I'm working on a crumb piecing tutorial now and am afraid it's way too long. But some people need that detailed instructions. But yes... Brevity!!!
Thanks for this tutorial. I’m a complete novice, I haven’t even bought my machine yet but I’m really interested in creating a quilt. You made this look really easy and explained in a very easy way, thanks for that. Sending BIG THANKS from Essex, England, UK 👍🏽🙋🏽♀️ bless Riko, thinks you’re going round the bend 😁
Wow! That was a great lesson! And, it was very helpful!!! Thank you!! Plus, I like his your set up, that was another important tip!!! Looking forward to more of your videos!!👍🏻👏🏻
I just came across your tutorial, thanks for this! I do a lot of quilts for donation and was given boxes of strips that aren't cut, and trying to find a way to use them without spending the time to trim them all into even widths all the way down the strip. I'm guessing this will work and save me a lot of time, thanks!
Thanks! My sewing room is a small guest bedroom. And I have it FULL of stuff. I have my sewing table (Ikea stacked drawers with a butcher block top) and a stainless restaurant table for my cutting table. I have two file cabinets that hold mostly non sewing craft stuff, and a large Ikea chest of drawers that holds a lot of my fabric. My design wall is retractable and hangs over the closet doors. I have packed a lot into that small room!
