Wow! What an amazing new product offering from our friends at Schagerl ! The all-new 1961 trumpet is taking Schagerl back to its roots having founded in 1961! It also harkens back to a golden age of piston valve trumpet creation. Yeah you can read into this! This horn reminds me quite fondly of those Mount Vernon Bach Stradivarius models although it plays far smoother and more centered than most models I have tried. This is the first one we have received into the shop and is a beast of a horn. Clean, crisp, full, and brilliant!

Wow this horn sounds beautiful! Notes are so bang on, and those valves look lightning smooth.

That actually sounds so good I’m starting to think I wasted my money on my Bach Artisan now

hey, firstly your videos are amazing! I want to buy the 1961 trumpet as ive already tested it and think it sounds and feels amazin. I was wondering what is your take on gold, silver plated or lacquer, personally i like the looks of gold most, but i guess there are differences in the sound or feel of the trumpet. Even if its just experience on a different Trumpet, what is your general take on the topic?

Hi Trent, What does it most closely compare to/remind you of when playing? ‘Americanized’ makes me think Bach 37 ... so how does it compare to that ‘standard’ model? How does it compare to their top-of-the-line James Morrison Meister, which you stated was kinda between a Bach 37/43 bell feel? The wrap also looks tight. How does it feel in your hand compared to an A2, the Getzen 900 Deluxe, or Coppernicus? It sounds great. You are just singing on ‘Tenderly’... fantastic! The valves and single brace look Benge-ish, which is cool. Thx in advance for your thoughts on this.

I think it feels like a really good 43. Feels fab in every way! It's a Schagerl ;-)
