Really impressive, especially considering no power tools. I'd recommend trying a clear quick curing two part epoxy for the inlay and polishing though, probably would end up a bit sturdier

Weird question, but how'd you make you aluminum shavings?

I make wooden rings without any power tools, i must say your ring is definetly not up to my standards with the air bubbles and unevenness on the edges, but it gives me a great idea of making the inlay channel, also i think what would work is just using bigger strip of the veneer so the side strips don';t have to be so thin and it's easier to do more precise work that way. it will give me better results than my previous "dig the inlay with a file" method. Thanks a lot!
