I challenge you to do a "Living fortress". You can use only Ranged wood ants and Leafcutter Majors. The majors act as the walls and armor of the fortress and the Ranged units are cannons and bayonets firing from inside the fort.

The difference between a level 1 and level 2 and a level 3 is the size

I may have missed why, but I don’t see a reason to split up your ants in this mode. I’d keep the same ants in the same group so you can build the upgrades quicker.
