This compilation of progress photos, shows Laurie's process in creating a Wood Duck drake hunting decoy which will be reproduced by Deadly Decoys for the hunting market. This is a one-piece decoy. No glue, no wood fill. The feather carving was done using a Gesswein Power Hand 3 with a 55K RPM hand piece. The texturing was done using the PH#A and a 3/32" White Arkansas Tapered Cone bit. The feather burning medium skew burning tip was used to burn the feathers and a spear tip was used to get into the tight areas.
