Step by step on how to create a beautiful wood grain crackle affect. This did NOT end up looking to much like the other cups at all lolol, It really took on its own look and I love it.

WARNING! INSPIRATION ON THE LOOSE! Absolutely gorgeous. I love that woodgrain underneath the crackle. I bought a big bottle of glue a while ago intending to do some crackle. But now I see more possibilities. Can't wait to try this. I also learned more about the crackle technique. Thanks so much🥰

Love the crackle effect!! Just don’t like Elmers glue! Lol, I love the Folk Art Crackle Medium! Came out pretty though!

So cute!! If you DIDN’T seal the wood grain before the glue/paint application, how come the alcohol ink didn’t wash off?

I believe that reason is bc it basically stained the tumbler and I wasn’t rubbing very hard and I do think it would have taken for more then water to remove the ink. I do hope that makes since.

I am soo sorry, I can’t recall the font I used however I used holographic vinyl from TeckWrap Craft Vinyl. I also need to add the website to Teckwrap and I’ll do that right now. I apologize about that.

Hi Rebecca... I've been cracking things for years. Today I did a tumbler exactly as you did here and my white paint turned pink after I applied the glue and the paint and it started to crackle. I used Elmer's glue, brown alcohol ink and white paint. Has this ever happened to you before?

No I’m sorry I’ve never experienced this before, and to be clear you applied the glue before the paint? Make sure you are adding the glue before the paint. Let me know ok
