OK first of all, very awesome project. In order for your cart to be built to code you should a) use 3/4'' plywood instead of 1/2'' plywood, b) paint the plywood before sanding and cutting, c) use Benjamin Moore decorator's white (in flat finish) and Krylon Industrial Banner Safety Red and most importantly, and I can't stress this enough: DON'T use a CNC router. Shun the router! That being said it's probably time to admit I'm super jealous of your amazing cart! :)

Great video! I love picturing what it looks like from a different perspective when people make videos. I imagined you had the cart rolling down the driveway into the street and then shortly afterwards you chasing it and cars swerving and the neighbors looking on like "what is he doing?". 😂

This came out pretty cool, sir! Love the little screw spacing jigs you made - the even screw lends itself to the nasa look for sure. Love how you mixed in the CNC stuff as well - that name plate is cool.

You would not believe how many utility carts we use around KSC. So, doing a utility cart with the NASA logo is very appropriate. You'd be hard pressed to find the "worm" logo these days though. Most in NASA never liked the "worm" logo, and after Goldin reinstated the "meatball" logo, most were replaced. Personally, I prefer the meatball. Great project!

They really do look just like that. Usually cast phenolic or some similarly strong composite plastic though. Our techs use them to bring materials and tools up and down the pad structure for launch operations. Love the channel and love the projects. Keep it up.

Idk why but I enjoy the sped up style videos much more then the regular speed vids. I enjoy sounds of everything sped up. I could close my eyes n pick out your videos. Just like Diresta has his own sound you do as well.

biscuits are so much better than pocket holes. Clamp it in to place is so much better than screwing it in place. using AC sheet is my preference for shop furniture

Biscuits have the major problem of splitting the wood/plywood due to their wide and shallow depth profile. Pocket holes at the very least keep a deep, narrow profile which is harder to defeat. Either way, joints still are King, there's a reason why WW2 military German ammo and utility boxes had joints and some last to this day despite severe abuse.

Great project. Many ideas. Any reason why you wouldn't/couldn't also biscuit joint the shelves into the assembly and remove the unsightly (to some) screw holes. Not a criticism, just a question.

The screws were part of the design. Biscuits wouldn't be very strong in that application since one of the surfaces was painted but again, I wanted to see those beautiful black screw heads poking out. Thanks!

Thanks! That little beauty is called a countersink and I got it from ToolsToday.com It counter sinks and predrills the hole in one step. It's also completely adjustable and the bit is replaceable if you somehow damage it.
