Good tips Wayne. Not everyday is “perfect”. Thanks for sharing and as always, keep snapping…

Thanks Alan much appreciated! If we only took photos when conditions were perfect we’d have a lot less practice that’s for sure 🙂

Hi Wayne, I found that the full frame cameras just offered too little improvement for the increase in size weight and cost. I recently tried to adopt a Z7II, but compared to the XT5 there just wasn't much in it. At 100% on a monitor it looked great and a little better than the XT5. But in 24x36 inch prints I could only see a slight improvement with 3x glasses on from 6 inches away. And my wife actually preferred the Fuji prints. I did as well, the tonality and colors were that nth degree better. But it really comes down to the glass these days, so I treated myself to the 16-55mm. Great tips on the woodland photography. We have tall pine forests here with a lot of scrub underneath, very difficult conditions. 🙂 But it could be worse... I could be in Kansas. (No offense to the Kansans out there. 🙂)

Hi Edward, those are very fair points and I agree that in many situations for many people they won't see a lot of difference. I think the Fuji XT cameras are very capable and produce great images, the XT5 looks fantastic. A bigger jump in sensor type is probably required in many cases to see substantial difference (again in certain situations and viewing situations). Good purchase on the 16-55mm lens! It's my most used lens on the XT cameras and I think it's a fantastic lens. Thanks, best wishes and enjoy that lens 😃

I think your advice at 2:40 is absolutely spot on, Wayne! Your stump shot was beautiful. You've helped me to see things I might have over looked in the past so, a big thank you sir! Please continue your excellent production work and the wonderful tips and teaching you offer. Just watched DPReviews final look at theXT-5. What are your thoughts and, are planning any shifts in equipment for 2023?

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed my video and that you feel it helped you! The X-T5 is a great camera and appears to be a good upgrade for users of previous XT cameras, or people buying their first XT camera. Unless you really want the screen design of the X-T4 for video it's a great buy. I will be using a new camera this year, most likely something I'll talk about in a future video.

@@WayneRobertsonPhotography I will be excited to hear of any new changes...especially if you gravitate away from the Fuji system. I think you know exactly what your looking for in a final production and you seem meticulous in your approach to your craft so, I respect the changes for what you intend them to do for your photogrpahy! Best wishes for 2023. I'm looking forward to your productions!
