I agree....but most modern tractors at this HP have a solenoid and clutch system

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I know that's why I don't use my 2001 6400 toke out the main gear box on my woods 15 ft brush hog very expensive mine 8 years old I keep it on my ford 8000 now.

this 1104 took some getting used to....even the clutch for driving isn't controlled by the operator...it's all kinda "push button" ....I prefer the feel of engaging a clutch slowly....my deere has this setup, it started leaking in the gearbox and ruined the clutches...JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree John deere after 2000 are junk to much electricians on them. Here where I live people have lost at least 20 tractors do to the electricians on them one person lost everything he had in a fire one tractor started it and the building all the others was in there with it.

I have the same pto engagement button on my Branson and after 2 years I haven’t had any issues. Replaced a few shear pins running my my bush hog and that’s about it.

cows do not eat every last bite of every plant in the pasture, there's a common misconception that every stick of green will be eaten by the cattle. "harvesting" the grass would require $50k or more worth of equipment, we're not harvesting....we clip the tops out of weeds and grasses after the cattle move through the pastures to control weed seeding and make the pastures look nicer...also to keep the grass in the growth phase v/s letting it seed out and go into senescence (no more growth) Here's a video for ya that explains it all...did this a few weeks back: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XyGIV-JNlkA.html Ya can't just "harvest" grass....we speak about this in the video also

You should see the Schulte FX-742. 42 feet wide, weighs 18,000 lbs, 6,500 lb tongue weight and requires 250 PTO HP to run it. Now that's a rotary cutter!

Rhino AG bought M&W years ago. I can attest to the fact their FlexWing mowers are nearly indestructible. Rhinos 15’ cutter is basically the same as our 30 year old M&W.

many companies make folding mowers like this...but Woods is the only Bat Wing...I think it's their trademark

I spent 2 hours servicing in the past 2 years....no special tools needed, just keep it greased and full of gear oil, keep the blades sharp

yep...many many other companies that sell a folding mower like this...but I believe woods owns the rights to "batwing"

not my experience with woods.....as for "bush whacker" I can't say anything ....Woods makes quality products as far as I've seen

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer do you have to balance the blades after you sharpen them?

should never mow wet grass.....it will rust out any mower that's for sure...the hinges aren't lubricated

yep....woods makes them bigger too...but 25ft cutter is too big for my little farm

I'd have to look at the owners manual, probably at 500 hours or so or annually

equipment is expensive...especially when you get into the bigger stuff

yep....in the agricultural world these are referred to as "airplane tires" that's about it This isn't aviation...it's agriculture my friend....there's no sense in arguing with me...I understand...and there's no sense in insulting me with sarcasm. I don't deserve to be talked down to or insulted over "tire terminology"......USAF veteran here...I know what a real pneumatic airplane tire is. interesting....ya know, I've never had any issue with bouncing or the mower rebounding. Seems an air bag would almost be overkill....wonder what the longevity of the airbags is compared to this spring...honestly....I've never noticed the spring flexing at all

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer think I ment in the way 🙄😆 but make sure your lift drop arms are as short as they can go.. some screw in some have pins hor adjustment.

all summer long...and brushy spots in the fall and winter.....probably a hundred hours a year

Question about tractor is it hard to do regen for def ? Are did you have to do it yet
