Nice one. Would you think this would make a good small knife for "tactical applications", as a back up knife or something, too?

I would say this is geared more towards outdoor activities. Tactical everyday I I would go with a blue ridge hunter.

I can’t say from personal experience but they are knives that are meant to be used so I’d imagine it would hold up for several generations.
