I'd like to see you do something like this with an aqua color resin. I suspect it would be quite a focal point in someones study as visitors try to identify which part of the Mediterranean it depicts🙂. It would resemble a map in some ways.
It kind of has a Halloween feel with the round void and oblong void looking like eyes then the river part looking like a spooky mouth, similar to a jack o lantern
I always had this burning question in my mind. Can woodturners make epoxy tables because there are plenty of epoxy table people that can't do woodturning. This is a beautiful example of its class QED.
That certainly looks a less wasteful way of creating a table top the some turned methods I've seen. The overall effect is very striking. Were you ever considering a mottled blue/green resin mix for the infill?
@@andrewallason4530 personally I'm not overly bothered by the colour but I do agree that black would have looked better. What I'm saying is the worst is that they are countersunk bolts rather than domed bolts, washers are a must but using countersunk is just real sloppy.
It always seems a shame to me to take a big slice of tree and although it’s already an ideal table top if you’re just going to add resin to not make it round as it is by adding a bigger former…. Why not start with a smaller cookie in the first place?
