Woodturning - the Apple of my eye 

Hello friends! Today's Turn is an Apple Log. Sometimes when I begin a turning I have no idea what the end product will be. In this case I decided to go with an Apple shape (sort of) and capped it off with some Red Cedar to give it that Candied look. Stuck a Walnut stem on there just because. It was a fun project, although I spent a great deal of time doing it even though it is not that big of a piece. The wood itself was still “green”, that may have a lot to do with my tool catching it and causing it to fly off of the Chuck. Luckily is suffered no damage, so I remounted it and continued.
Sanded 80-2000
Mineral Oil and Shellac finish
