Its so good to see you 'back' on RU-vid. It seems to have been an absolute age since you posted a build video. your skills are beyond reproach. Everything you make seems to have an air of longevity about it. You don't use big fancy expensive tools, granted your bandsaw is bigger than most, but its your living so you would have it. Your not sponsored by anyone so your not constantly going on about Triton this that and the other like some channels on here. Most videos I have seen they throw stuff together, hold it all with a few 'brads' or a screw here and there, and you just know that 2 years down the line, you'll be making it again. You are an inspiration and I hope your YT channel, your school and your life goes from strength to strength. Keep up the good work.

I like the type of joinery that has the piece come through and a wedge shaped piece of wood keep it snugged up. I don't know what its called but I like the way it looks. Its almost a lost art to make quality stuff now days, it takes time that most don't want to spend. At least I can come here and learn something. :)

If you haven’t yet... I’ve found a trick to those Greene & Greene nuances that complicate joinery. The joints or intersections of planes must either be matching in roundness, or stop your router a fraction before inserting a square joint. Hide those odd shadows.

You never cease to amaze! Brilliant, my friend. I've made fixtures for my shop - work bench, lumber rack, etc., But the furniture and super clean joinery are "amaze-balls". One day I hope to have as much talent and skill as you have in your pinky finger nail. All the best from Salisbury, NC!

You understand that this is a business, right? RU-vid drastically changed it's ad payouts, so these guys aren't getting the income they used to. Better start getting used to the pay for more content model, because they're all going to start doing it.
@AlexRodriguesLFA
@AlexRodriguesLFA 6 лет назад
Anthony Hereld cool opinion man. I happen to have one of my own too and it’s different then yours. I disagree that all helpful content needs to be hidden behind a paywall. I think that there can be a happy medium of free helpful content and extremely detailed payed for content.
@embeaston
@embeaston 6 лет назад
Alex Rodrigues Absolutely. But again this is his business. Which feeds his family and pays bills. I’m sure the samurai would love to have the time to film, edit and post “free” vids for the sake of passing knowledge. But there are only so many hours in a day. Do you have any helpful knowledge you’re posting? I’d take a watch. I try to post some leather tips on my Instagram. OwlCreekHandmade

Amazing... The design is a pure Samurai Carpenter. The joinery is above & beyond. Not only is the "free" video completely fulfilling on all levels, but the fact that you can bundle all that with plans and in-depth tutorials is mind-blowing. Don't just "Honor the Craft", Support the Craft. This isn't your Dad's New Yankee Workshop!
