Hello Paul I really enjoy watching the White Oak going threw the resaw and watching the rays pop out on the boards coming threw the machine.

Back in 1999 we bought the WM Resaw attachment for resawing Southern Yellow Pine. Did about 20 ten hour days. Did not kill the blades as fast as your WO. Paid by the hour, plus blades , plus resaw.

Jumpy hydraulics often mean frothing in the fluid, bubbles are not getting a chance to float up in the reservoir- or the dwell time in the tank is too short- also and after cooler or radiator in the return line can help dissipate heat that promotes and retains frothing. The jerking comes from pushing compressible air out of the pump and into the motor driving the power feeder. Frothing can also come for mis-sized valves- not the end connections but the valve orifice/flow size can resulting in cavitation and froth.

Suggestion on hydro, just check pressure regulator. Maybe dirty so bypass fluid not constant to tank. Also make sure inlet and outlet far apart as to prevent any air bubbles that gets formed at return to tank not go back into system. Maybe not the problem but worth a look🤷‍♂️

Looks like someone wants solid oak flooring or architectural mill work of some kind, was the client a flooring manufacturer lol. Who else would want this much oak, crazy how much more work it is even after youve resawn and gang ripped everything. Now it all needs 3 or 4 more passes on a shaper for the edge profiles and bottom face.

This was for a large company, it was being used as wall and ceiling cladding, no more molding required.

Thanks for showing the equipment and process. Would you care to share how you price this custom work?

That's always a tough one, for both gang rip and re-saw we have a per linear foot price. If a small job we have to add a setup fee also.

Holy batman resaw monstrosity!! How wide a board will that beast re-saw? And now "gang-ripping"?? Is that even legal?! 😉😜 Hey, if you sound like a robot at all, it's a terribly benevolent one! 😊🤠

I don't know total height on the resaw, but it's a lot if you needed it.

What did you do with the thin offcuts from the resaw? Did they go in the boiler or do you have another use for them

For the pieces from the gang rip we will use them to heat our kiln. For the re-saw pieces I don't know yet!
