Mrs. Tinkerer and I purchased a piece of stained glass at a church fundraiser auction. I decided to build a frame to display it. The frame is in the Craftsman/Arts & Crafts/Stickley style. Made of oak with walnut "tenons". Filmed on the iPhone 10 with the iPhone camera stand. Logo design by Brandon Kettle. Video music is "The Delong Incident" by Craig MacArthur and "Bright Eyed Blues" by Unicorn Heads.

Wow, thanks Vera! I have a lot of fun sharing these videos. I don't make a penny off of RU-vid, however, when someone comments that my video helped them solve a problem or inspired them to build something, that is worth it's weight in gold to me. I'm so glad this was helpful to you, and it means a lot to me that you would leave these kind words. Good luck with your project, and thanks again!

Great job! I have 3 stain glass windows in our 1940 home. They are like a casement window - hinged on the right and swing in. The frames are in pretty bad curled and warped shape. Thankfully the glass and lead are in pretty good condition (at least as they are still in the frames) - we'll see when I take them out of the frame. You've given me some ideas on how to re-frame them.

Wow, thanks Chad for the kind words. Sorry it took so long to answer, I have been out of town. It's always a bonus when my videos can help someone solve a problem. I really appreciate the view and the comment! Thanks again.

Nicely done video. You also speak very well. It gave some great ideas for mounting and supporting the panel. I have a similar project to execute but have a curved top on the panel. I'm hoping to learn how to accomplish making this section of the frame and how to make the groove in a curved piece of wood.

Thank you for the kind words! As far as how to make the curved section, I can tell you how I would do it. I'd first make a full-size template of the curved board with a piece of cardboard. If it wasn't a very deep curve, I would start with a piece of wood that was wide enough to cut it out of in one piece. If the curve is deeper, such as a full half round, and too wide to cut from a single board, I'd edge-glue several boards together to get the width needed. After tracing the curve with my template, I'd cut it out with a band saw or jig saw. To make the groove, I would use a thin rabbeting bit (or similar groove-cutting style bit) with a guide bearing in my router. I don't know if this helps, but I'm never short on sharing my opinion! Thanks again and good luck with your project!
