Welcome back to my workshop 😁
In todays video I quickly show you how I made a couple of small wooden frames for some stained glass craftwork.
The two small stained glass windows were made by Pete and Anna (Mrs. Pete) during a craft lesson and they have come out really nice (i must try that some time).
These frames will hopefully allow them to hang them securely so they can be appreciated.
I hope you enjoy the video, if you do, please hit the like button and please share with all your friends on Social media, Oh, and a sub would be appreciated if you can ☺
Thanks very much for watching 😁👍

Looking great Frank. I never knew that ‘solid wood’ furniture was made of tiny scraps.

Hi O.G.B 😁. I've seen it before with some really cheap furniture, but wasn't expecting it with this piece !. It was from quite a reputable company. So you never know what is below the surface 🤨. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍

Not everyone could make what-didn't-work so entertaining and informative. Nicely done.

Thanks Colin 😁. I've had lots of practice at "what-didnt-work" 😂🤣😂. It seems to be a running theam in all my projects 🤣. Thanks for watching Colin 😁👍

Very nice. Would be nice if you offered some options for those who don’t have a band saw.

🙂 Sorry Dawna, I completely get it. I know not everyone has a workshop full of tools. But I just use what I have. I feel the same when I watch some of the big RU-vid woodworkers who have very expensive tools. Ill try and give some options in future 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

Fantastic! Reminds me of how my Grandad would've explained how to do this!

Thanks Harki 😁. I love the glass, so think I will have a go at making one myself soon. Thanks for watching 😁👍.

Hi Frank...fantastic little frames ... you made a really nice job of making them.... I love proper leaded stained glass and the frames finished them off beautifully... I couldn't believe how rubbish the legs were that you tried to use ... solid wood my a...... .Haha... great video... take care...All the best.....Andy

Thanks Andy 😁. Yep, I love the stained glass. I must give it a go myself. I'm quite pleased with the frames. They should protect the glass quite well. I had been saving the legs to put on the lathe to try and make something... nice. I think that could have been a bit of a disaster 😖. Thanks again Andy 😁👍

Bloody hell Frank you have given your self some work of late! But these did turn out brilliant, the double routered lines inside the frame suit the glass and finish it of really well 👌👍🍻

Thanks James 😁. Trying to get some projects cleared up 😁. I think I should have used my smaller router though 🤔... the 1/2" one I used... was a little bit aggressive. But it turned out OK. Thanks for watching James 😁👍

Nice job mate, the stain glass panels were beaut and the frames matched them nicely, as you can tell I appear to be running through your catalog of videos at the moment 👌👌👍👍🇦🇺

Thanks Graham 😁. I agree, I think they have made a great job with the glass. So the last thing I wanted to do is ruin them with a rubbish frame 😁. Thanks very much for watching my videos, much appreciated 😁👍

Thanks Kevin 😁. I was disappointed how rubbish it was 🙁. I may try and salvage all the small pieces and make a board out of them.... don't want to waste any of it. Thanks for watching Kevin 😁👍

Dodgy bastards calling that solid wood furniture. Better than veneered I suppose but it wasn't even jointed and glued up properly. Having a tough run of your recycled wood lately😥 Pushed on to fix the issue, and a great outcome. Well done.

Thanks James 😁.Well it was real wood and it was "Almost" solid. But it was 100% disappointing ☹. I must try harder to get some better quality scrap wood. I think its unacceptable that people are only throwing away old rubbish now days 🤣😂. Thanks for watching James. Stay safe 😁👍

Nice glass and framing work. Only negative, for me, was the music interludes are far too loud.

Crickey mate, consecutive videos from you is cool, a very nice result in the end & I’m trying to find finishes that are good, the poly stuff is ok but I’m eyeing off evolution oil & wax to try. The science of effective finishes is remarkably frustrating as it’s trial & error lol 🍻👍👍👍

Thanks Dirk 😁. I'm trying to clear a few projects as I have a 3 meter long epoxy resin counter top project that needs to be done... and I need the space 😀. Finishes are a nightmare, but I do like the Osmo wax oil (I assume you can get it down under)... but it is so expensive here. Thanks for watching mate. Stay safe 😁👍🇬🇧

Great video, i know what it means but it might be worth explaining what De-nibbing is to the new wood workers.

Great point Paul 😁. I'm sure we all do it and use terms and phrases that are not generally used 🤔. I do try to go through each step in detail when filming, but then have to cut it out because the videos become far too long... so nobody watches. It's difficult finding a good balance. Thanks Paul, stay safe 😁👍
