That's a really nice drum. What a great idea to use the wood bowl on the bottom. I love the finish and the trio of tongues is really nice too. It sounds incredible with reverb.

Thanks for the review, this is, in my opinion, the best sounding drum. Would it be suitable for playing/accompanying a song? I’m not a musician as you probably realise but I love music.

Hi Molly, I just ordered my tritone drum today using your code. I already have a 12" Kosmosky that I love. When you are in the room with the Tritone and the regular 12", is the sound completely different? It sure seems like it would be. Also, the Tritone looks like it would lend itself to using a metal stand better than the original 12" because it seems to dampen the metal.

It is so gorgeous! It's on the heavier side but about that's pretty standard for a tongue drum. I'll have to get out my scale and let you know exactly! 😊

Can you kindly share with us what amp and effects you were using. I recently bought this exact same drum from Kosmosky but I am definitely not a musician. But I love that shimmer and reverb you’ve got going. How do I set my drum up to do the same?what equipment did you use?

I just recently started playing around with a tank drum, and have really been digging it. I've been watching a lot of videos including yours and have come to the conclusion I need a Kosmosky. Not sure which one to get. I like the idea of the double-sided 12". 2 scales in one drum seems like a great thing. But these Woody Tritones just have a magical sound and I for sure see one of them in my future. Do you know if there are any problems with shipping from them because of the Ukraine situation? I hope not, I would like to place an order from their web-site.

Molly --- I ordered a Tritone Woody bc of watching this video. It took many tries through several different channels to get a payment to them. Probably something due to the war (only DHL will ship -- no UPS over there now). I suspect VISA has a block on any Russian transactions. Bummer all around. Have you had any more interaction with them? Anybody else have problems doing business with them? They were super helpful all through the process. Cheers!

my first tongue drum turned up today and it wasn't half as good as i expected purely because as you said it has a very metallic sound, granted it was very inexpensive and only 6", i have managed to tune it a little better than it was because it was very out of tune. could you give me an idea of a decent beginner drum to practice on please? oh and by the way that drum looks and sounds amazing unfortunately it would amount to a full weeks salary for me. x

I'm so sorry you're disappointed :( this is my favorite budget drum, it was perfectly in tune when I received it and has a nice tone (it's definitely not going to sound quite as nice as the Kosmosky though) amzn.to/3yXNFBy

Hello Molly! I've watched dozens of your videos today I'm wondering if you could recommend a drum from Amazon for our family. We have 4 children, ages 4-18, as well as my husband and I that would like to play occasionally for fun in our backyard or our living room. I think our oldest son would like to learn songs on it, the rest of us would tap around for fun.

I just ordered one of these, and then came across this video. The site (as far as i can tell) doesn't mention the pickup, or the 1/4" output. Did you order those or did it just come with that?

Great question! You may have to reach out to Kosmosky for an answer - they sent me this drum to try out so I'm not sure what the standard options are! 😊

It is different from any tank drum, it seems to me that it has something inside ... what is it exactly ??? Well it seems to have to do with its sound

title says woody duotone , but you say it's tritone ? , I see it's tritone, after realizing , yea has 3 cuts in the tones., I spent alot of time trying to figure that out..yea it has 3 cuts, dummy me. lol. ..ummm, skip the annoying fake laph. I'll add, you look wonderfull and plesant voice, good sound demo,,,also it apears to be the bee-hive model ? , you didnt specefiy other than it being A minor. blessings.
