I went to check out the Abydos. It does show quite a wide sleeve at the underarm as it drapes down. I think it is just because you are not a the decrease for the cuff. I think once its completed and blocked it will drape nicely. Happy Knitting.

In regards to being short waisted I found some years ago while learning pattern drafting that I was actually 1.5" shorter than the average in the v neck area and 1.5 " from there to the waist. So total of 3" shorter than the average from shoulder to waist. It also means we need petite patterns, which don't yet exist. I am 5' 4" tall. Hence V necks need altering for me. It's helpful to know ❤ Podcast fabulous as always ❤

I Love That Abydos, But I'm Knitting Solare By Joji Locatelli, Then The Diaphanous Raglan & Big Rib Sweater From JeeseMaed Next. That Sleeve Thing On The Abydos Is Actually Making Me Nervous To Try It.
I’m thinking about picking up stitches with the body needle, knitting the short rows, then going down one needle size for the rest of the sleeve. I will probably put the sleeve on hold that I’m currently working on and start the other. Sounds like we will all know the outcome by the time you are ready to cast on. Cheers! 🧶🍷

I have used the Rock-It Tee three times as the proportions fit me realky well. I don't like wearing stripes so minex are all solid. I did the yarn over raglan increases and i-chord edging as indicated on the first one. From there I made a long skeeved, tunic length winter version and then a cotton blend tee. They fit me so well that I really love them.
Love the pattern, but I am struggling with the increases on part 2 of the yoke, the yarn over increases aren’t lining up. Would love a tutorial on the yoke part 2, really.

Right now I’m knitting the cumulus tee in knitting for Olive pure silk and it’s beautiful but it takes forever! But I love how it’s fitting so far! Then I might have to make another ranunculus!!
I always get so inspired by your podcasts! I will be casting in the Rock it tee from yarn I bought years ago, the Tolsta tee, and just finished the Corran Cardigan! I struggled with picking up stitches for the button bands as well because she doesn’t give an exact stitch count, she recommends 5 of every 7 sts…. So I counted all my edge stitches, divided by 7, then multiplied by 5 to get my total…. Then I sectioned out my button band in equal increments, to make sure I picked up sts evenly… that tip is from Andrea Mowry! This tip might be a little late, but hopefully it helps! I love your orbit sweater. I made mine from a woolyknits cone and a color changing kauni yarn. I did have to do a little color managing to get my sleeves to match. It has become one of my favorites.

I have a suggestion that perhaps on one of your podcasts you could give a rundown on some of your favourite yarns in terms of weight, drape, material, etc.., the yarn that you turn to again and again, the tried and true. The three of you knit so much that you must be yarn experts! You are all beautiful knitters and I really enjoy watching your podcasts. Best to all of you.

I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts. You inspire me with the variety and quantity of sweaters the three of you knit. I loved that all three of you were wearing Rocket Tees. I do have a question regarding the stripes, did you carry the yarns up the side or start new yarns each time? When I attempted to carry a yarn up a side on a different sweater pattern, the yarn seemed to bunch up so I changed to starting new yarns and then had to weave in lots of ends. I wasn't sure how it would work striping with a mohair. Thanks Ladies!!
Thank you for watching and yes we did carry the yarn up the side. You need to make sure it's loose enough when you start knitting with the opposite yarn so it won't cause bunching. Happy knitting!
Yes. You can definitely modify the increases. We all did a M1L on the left side of the marker and a M1R on the right on every other row. It works out perfectly. I like a 2 stitch raglan so I put markers on the outside of 2 raglan stitches. If the pattern only has one (or none) raglan stitch, I take the stitches from the sleeves. When you separate for sleeves, you put the raglan stitches onto the sleeve holder. Your numbers will be identical to the pattern. Cheers! 🧶🍷

Hi Judy! For the size 40”ish one skein is enough. I’m only using one strand of each. Although, I haven’t knit the sleeves. It looks like the color changes in what is left of the Dream Colour will work well.
