I am finishing the garter blanket for my 18 year old granddaughter, Emma, who is going to the University in two weeks; and I think tomorrow I am casting it off. It came out so beautiful and it feels great. Tammy, your blanket for your grandson looks nice, and the color is beautiful. It is so nice you are knitting it for him, and he already appreciates it. You are a good Grandma. I knitted a blanket for my 16 year old grandson, Jacob, and he likes it and keeps it on his bed. I knitted a couple of blankets for Heidi, my 12 year old granddaughter. A well deserved celebration of 3k subscribers! I did purchase the Corran cardi and her Tolsta tee. I just finished up a top with the silk garden by Noro. I initially used one of their patters called more than one direction and finished it and it was HUGE! So I took the 4 parts and created a short sleeve cardi and a tank. I'm in the middle of blocking but will post pics once they are dry. LOVE the yarn after it's been soaked and blocked. Since it's 45% silk I suppose. I have the Traveler by Andrea Mowry on the needles and am just finishing a pair of vanilla socks. I've been doing my socks in a tube, then separating them and adding heels and toes. I don't do a ribbed cuff because I have diabetic issues with anything tight on my ankles. They stay up fine and that's what matters. lol I need to cast on another project......or two!
