Hmmm. I would mostly be interested in this so that my daughter can keep up when road bicycling in hilly Tennessee. Thanks for mentioning the 12 mph assist limit. That would be fine on hills since I typically slow down below 15 mph anyway, but it would suck on flats. I wonder if the software limiter can be removed.

Have you purchased an ebike for your kid? Is it the F-Play? I just rolled the dice and ordered one for my daughter. Absolutely zero reviews on it and hardly any info out there. I figured Mondraker is a reputable brand, so it couldn’t possibly be a dud. I’ve ridden the X35 hub motor on a E-gravel, and it’s solid.

Nice video & presentation. I’m sold on ebikes. I’ve been to Europe, they’ve embraced them long ago. Hopefully they’ll continue to gain acceptance here as well. I am curious, where are you riding? How would you say this compares to the Levo SL kids? Similar weight but seems like Levo has better spec'd fork, wheels, and dropper post. Current sale for $2500 makes it pretty appealing. Any thoughts?
I think the controversy is people think that kids should be active and earn their turns, and the price probably shocks people. I think some people feel that folks shouldn't spend that much money on a bike for a kid - the counter argument is that I'm not buying the bike for my kid, I'm buying it for my kid to keep up on rides with me. And hopefully I can sell it for 80% of what I paid for it in 4-6 years after all 3 of my kids have had a lot of use out of it.
