Waiting for mine rn and to anyone who has a 60he / 60he+ the lekker v2's are avaliable to purchase if you want to try the improved switch. However, for those wanting something a little more deluxe Gateron just dropped their new line of HE switches last week. Gateron Jade Pro and Gateron Jade Maxes. From what I have seen and heard the Pro's are just better Jades so clacky mahjong sound and the Maxes are thocky more wholesome sounding w less clack. Also the Maxes have crazy good RGB diffusers so it will make your keyboard pop way moreee.
Pretty cool from them that you can actually buy the module by itself since I think they have one of the best software on the market. But I gotta be honest the fact that you pay 200 bucks for a full plastic keyboard is baffling to me. But to each their own. If somebody decides to buy it and is happy just be happy with it, thats what I always think. Thanks a bunch for the vid brother! :)
Great video. Did you play Apex legends with it? Cause apex has problems wit 8k polling rate mice, i wonder if the game has also problems with 8k hz keyboards 🤔🤔🤔
So, the conclusion is to buy wooting 60he+ , wooting 80he module and case or wooting 80he zinc alloy prebuild for someone who want try wooting for the first time?
@@Jaeky is it ok that when you apply more force to press on the switch on 80HE the keyboard jumps? i mean its flexbile i would say. My Wooting 60HE when i hardly press, it doenst move or jump. But 80HE due to the gasket mouting is jumping. Is it ok? i mean it doesnt look good.
Because there's already several in-depth videos on it including one that I already made: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wDP4N2KjfuY.htmlsi=Fnp7BaGnS5jWgfHj and one by optimum: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Feny5bs2JCg.htmlsi=6qeHsTdKD8T7UqWW
This k is a letdown. 60he was good for what it was. The 80he was supposed to be the upgrade. And it lacks. The back wooting logo is pointless and made the kb more expensive. The led strip is a gimick. There should have been a logitech/razer style volume scroll in it's stead. Or a knob or scroll on the top right corner or on the side like the new razer kb. Next time, don't do things that make it more expensive. No pointless papers in the box either. Arrow keys, volume control, and a simple packaging, style and cheaper. Wtf are these prices.
They can always make knob addon, i wouldnt pre order 80he If it had knob. Because they are disgusting and would ruin looks for me. And I don't think so they read comments in youtube for feedback. Btw what upgrade did you expect? You know that they are supporting all keyboards with same features only if pcba can handle right? So as you can see only diffrence from 60he is more keys, gasket mount 8k pooling and scan rate.
I see that your main grief is the price. Where you expecting for the 80HE to be cheaper than 60HE when it has more keys, 8k polling rate, led strip, 2 sets of Lekker switches L45 & L60? I feel you about the volume control but after changing Fn function and setting the arrow keys as volume control. I actually do not mind not having the volume control now.
@@DEANluxray not expecting it to be cheaper, just not expecting it to be worse in almost every way the reason that the 60HE wasn't considered a gimmick by actual enthusiasts was because of it's universal layout, and now it feels like they are trying to be innovative and appeal to a different niche by choosing such a goofy layout, but I haven't heard of a single person who thinks that this isn't for the sake of selling more of their inflated cases as for the 8k polling rate, Calder himself said that it makes no difference, the second switch type costs them almost nothing to provide, and the led strip is cool I guess? but shouldn't really cost that much more, most of the upcharge is from the increased size of the board and I'm not too sad about the like $30 or so upcharge, it's mostly just the layout that I'm really disappointed that they decided to sell out like this.
@clarkettinger6958 there is nothing wrong with trying to innovate. They chose this layout as voiced by the community. Given that they did not use a stand tkl layout. I don't think there is a standard tkl case like the 60HE because almost every other keyboard manufacturer have their own tkl design. Wooting 80HE cases are cheap aside from the alloy cases.
technically it is, but it uses a stiff plate and rubber gaskets, so there is next to no flex, it's pretty much just for the isolation between the pcb and plate assembly and the case
