I'm not sure if you've noticed it yet but this show was shot on a really low budget.. and most of it went on the CGI and on making sure wen kexing looked like a walking pride flag
i never actually noticed it aside from a few scenes here and there lol...but maybe that's cause I watched it on my tv so it looks better there and more like a standard webdrama
@@StarryHoshi Also they use tons of green screen as well, but sometimes it is VERY noticeable and sometimes it isn't. Just to give you an idea, The Untamed had a very low budget to work with, and Word of Honor had like half the budget or less than what the Untamed worked with. So I really applaud the production team because they still managed to get some extremely beautiful shots and scenes regardless of their super ultra low budget.
@@MeruHina yeah, i was surprised honestly. For a Youku production, it had some really good cinematography and scenes that were *just* fast paced enough to not linger on the low budget aspects. Looking back at the first few episodes, it definitely has an uncanny feeling to it because of that, it has the vibe of a higher budget production but it just isn't quite right. At least it didn't take the route of some other low budget drama and dress some of the characters in gaudy outfits lol
I don't know how many episodes you've already watched, but if you haven't watched ep 6, 12, 17, make sure to watch special versions of them cause they include short extra scenes, which makes everything a little bit more gay :)

I think I started watching this when there were already 4 episodes out in english and I thought I would never catch up to everyone else because I watched one episode and 3 more were out... but then at one point in the story I got so attached that I was already waiting for the next one to be released. Flirting is the name of the game.
