Thanks for doing these tutorials Allesandro. I struggled to find a tutorial that would present this info with enough reasoning or, no thanks to Gutenberg's continuing and frustrating trend of scrapping entire structures in favour of some new structure, so i could understand the why (i'm a why learner, not a by-wrote learner). I found your examples were modern enough and functional enough that they only needed a few little tweaks to make them relevant to the current iteration of create-block. Awesome work! i will try to continue this from here. it'd be great to see more of these from you but it looks like you're perhaps lost interest (or time).
so, what should we do to create full scale plugin, i don't get it) i remember on wordpress was tutorial called build my first app. there were useing react there as well. if i need read some data from database, only php can help me?
you'd need to add some RESTful API points in your php file so that your front end can fetch the data. Do a fetch from your js to some logically labelled function in your php, exposed via the wp_ajax action. So add_action('wp_ajax_some_logical_label', 'your_logical_function'); and then write the function. if you're just sending db data, you can pull it from the $_POST. if you're requesting data, send it back in a json success: wp_send_json_success($the_requested_data);
