In first place why the hell english is so inconsistent when it come to pronunciation....? If any word was borrowed from other language why they didn't used the spelling as it it is pronounced.. or why they didn't pronounce it as it is spelled... To me English makes me feel that, it is the most childish and underdeveloped language...
@@ajaytripathi6973 Not at all Yeah, she's pretty, but I came here 'cause this video was recommended to me And ngl, I kinda enjoy watching these type of videos😂😂
English is just inconsistent and more for people like me where my language pronunciation and writting is the same and vowels have one unique sound all the time
@@yarnybart5911 In British English, “tu” is mostly pronounced as “ch” but in America, it’s “too”. Example: Tuesday - Toosday 🇺🇸 | Chewsday 🇬🇧 RU-vid - Youtoob 🇺🇸 | Youchewb 🇬🇧 Duty - Doody 🇺🇸 | Jewty (same case for Du) 🇬🇧 Etc I hope you understand.
We native Hindi speakers have the habit of pronouncing each syllable of any word with equal stress. Which is why this whole video was too relatable!! 😂😂
I'm in Canada , I say Toozday. some of the others I do say each syllable but the 'silent' syllable is very soft and subtle. this would be a good topic to have with Canadian Bob. I'm going to test my fellow Canadian friends to see what they say.
I always 5hought it's like in Alan Turing's name, I mean "tju". Also heard of different way to say "day" part, not like a day, but like "de" with a short "e" sound.
so I've been pronouncing Wednesday correctly my whole life. But most people kept correcting me, it's wed-nes-day 😭 no it's not..aghh oh god. Thank you finally some closure 😂
no we don’t, the “mispronunciations” were saying it like someone from Latin America would say it who isn’t fluent in English. Every word in this video were words that Americans pronounce correctly. you just don’t want to accept that different dialects exist
I thought it was something related to accent rather than pronunciation. There's a group of people I hear pronounce comfortable and vegetable in that way I just thought it was their accent.
M Hassan awali from somalia 🇸🇴 I am really into the way of your teaching. Luv more ❤️my students watch your videos more than me. 😂 hope you’re having fun
This is a recurring theme in English actually spelling entire syllables that fall silent :P Worcestershire is an infamous one since the syllables that don't fall silent don't even sound like they're written at all either :') It's not Wor Ces Ter Shire, it's wuh sta sher, who on earth thought of that one must truly be worlds greatest troll :')
I'd pronounced "pronunciation" as "pronunctation". Also there was "engine" as eng[i]ne, "wound" as round, sweat as sweet or breed, "sepulcher" with "ch" as in the word "change".
Chocolate comes from Mexico, so it is a spanish word, that came from indigenous languajes, so no, chocolate should be pronounced as it is in spanish, you may vary on the way you pronounce it, but the correct form will be the original, since not all the people speaks indigenous languajes, and the most common variation is the spanish one.
