I already about to finish my ophthalmology residency in my home country , non european .. is the steps of working as a specialist is different on reality ? The official website of swedish health system entails that if you have experience of the speciality 3 years or more , plus the swedish language , they gonna see how legitimate you are and you will have at least one more year of training .... my question is that what are the chance to get ophthalmology post as non european , and the opportunity to work as ophthalmology surgeon and not just the medical part ? Thanks so much.
I'm a med student in Sweden and from what I can tell there is a huge shortage of ophthalmologists here in Sweden. If you can get your specialty validated there should be many opportunities here. However, as in the video, I really want to emphasize the importance of being on a good level of Swedish. Lots of foreign doctors pass the exam and then still don't speak it well enough, and I know that is a huge stress for them.

And on the 3rd year, if everything goes well with God's blessings, shift as a doctor as the main job? Would that affect the work permit which initially had nursing assistant as the main job? Sir, I'm currently enrolling phd surgery in Russia. So I wanted know whether phd from Russia is accepted along with Swedish language? . As phd from Russia is accepted in most of the European Union with language proficiency and document legalization. I have to plan accordingly for language.

Hey, I heard that the intership duration is 6 months from 2 of the turkish doctors that are working there. I'm not sure which one is correct but I have to say, yeah Turkey is not in EU but we have schools that are accredited. My medical faculty is accredited. Is that the reason of that 1.5 year-6 months difference? Do you have any idea about my situation?
Great point. So when it comes to the BT internship that’s about to take effect next summer it will be 1.5 years officially. However on case by case basis you might appeal to the Socialstyrelsen asking them to reduce the internship period and explaining why. In some cases it might be reduced from what I’m hearing. Officially however that is the limit.
@@noweyeknow7352 oh hi, I just found out. In Turkey we have a special intership year, last year of our 6 year education. The 1.5 year internship you were talking about is this, but the 6 months internship is probably for the people who already done their internship so they are just learning/adjusting to the system.

Hey! Well unfortunately they require that residencies are repeated. However! Residency periods can be reduced depending on the department that accepts you and the agreement that you two make.
Yes it is paid and in regards to queues it's a mixture of your CV, contents of your application and various factors that each hospital or region sets that are specific for its needs.
